PSP is the shit!

I've had mine for a little over three months and use it for everthing from listening to music and watching movies to transferring work files and checking my email. Oddly enough playing games on it has become the least of my concerns.....quite frankley, I'm addicted to this thing!!!

Anyone else have one of these little beauties and if so, what do you use it for?

I love mine as well. I use it mostly for games and music. Thanks for reminding me to put some more albums on my other memory stick.

I've been debating getting one...but I have a Sidekick 2 so.../:D" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt=":D" />

Anyway, tell me more about its storage capabilities (mainly for music, I heard it wasn't that great) as well as its internet capabilities..Don't you need to do some sort of hack to get online?

The fact that little puppy costs almost as much as a laptop drove me away...I just wouldn't have much use for it...But I have heard lots of good things about it, and some of the games look amazing...

My hub and I have one. We have our pics on there too for backgrounds and slideshows. The music helps as well! All the guys in Okinawa buy the same games and play against each other through infrared. It's great!

Yea...it's too expensive and I don't like that fact that you've gotta buy new games and stuff for it
"If there were no eternal consciousness in a man, if at the bottom of everything there were only a wild ferment, a power that twisting in dark passions produced everything great or inconsequential; if an unfathomable insatiable emptiness lay hid beneath everything, what would life be but despair?"

QUOTEI don't like that fact that you've gotta buy new games and stuff for it

Isn't that the case with anything?

You're right in the expense (I have around $500 wrapped up in mine) but compared to the cost of an XBOX 360 or even the last generation XBOX you get more for your money. I like the fact that it is basically a full entertainment system that I can carry in my pocket. I travel a lot so I have found having the ability to watch a movie, play games, listen to my music and check my email without having to lug around my laptop invaluable. As a matter of fact, I've virtually stopped carrying my laptop on short road trips as I can bring any necessary data with me on my PSP.

My only complaint so far is the lack of a keyboard....but that little problem will be solved in April of 06.....and it's only going to cost 20 bucks.

As far as the built in storage capability......it's nill and that sucks so I bought two 2GB cards for it to take care of that issue.

I guess it's a matter of preference.

We have the 1GB card that we haven't filled yet. It's nice becuase its portable and more useful than an IPod. Its music, pictures, games and movies! What more could you want?
