Hulk SMASH!

I just bought Hulk Ultimate Destruction, or whatever its called.

Man, it's like the best damn game to relieve stress. There is sort of a Hulk storyline, I will explore that later. for now, I am content to be like a rhino in a liquor store, just grabbing a handful of that city's ass, and whoop that trick till I pass out with the controller in my hands. *get em*

The storyline is that there is some dude hunting the hulk, who gets exposed to gamma himself. Apparently that will matter when I stop ripping police cars in two shoving my fists in the halves, pounding buildings until they collapse, and discarding the makeshift gauntlets at random old ladies 8 blocks away. Sure I could just leap up to the top of the building, or even run up the side, smashing into it with my feet and hands... but when you can drop a building,.. damn. Ra-El would shit himself with delight.

The hulk gets two different kinds of gamma radiation.

Some gold gamma pips, which he uses to "purchase" new moves in any order you like (which is sorta validated by the evolution of Hulk's character through the comics - when he was saturated with gold Gamma from the Abomination, he could slap his hands together loud enough to achieve a sonic concussive blast, etc.), like the fancy new back-hand pimp slap I got for dealing with ambulances, to get the second kind. The idea is this is the "smart" Gamma that has played into the comics on occasion, and thus the hulk gets smarter and can do more complex moves.

The green gamma pips, which ambulances are most likely to give up the most green. These add to his mass... When the hulk hits critical mass, things get messy fast. And speaking of fast, you (far as I know) have no vehicles in this game, though you can *weaponize* certain parts of your environment, such as the "metal fist" gauntlets you can make out of a car, or breaking a missile launcher in half and hurl the payloads at your enemies, like ice cream trucks and taxis.

It is more true to the comic book, for now,.. though I remember the hulk having more respect for having more respect for people- and the story revolves around a self inflicted Hulk/Bruce getting hunted as Dr. Samson is using his patented regressive therapy (inducing the Hulk transformation agressively and letting it play out to resolve the conflict of Hulk's psyche with Bruce's - causing mass destruction in the process.)

cheat codes are revealed through the game, and there may even be a level of complexity I have not found, but for now I am just hulking out, and demolishing everything I can throw. His throwing is great, and this is the hulk you know and love - not that crap about his dad. My only question is where is Betsy and Rick? Maybe they show up later - then I can throw them at tanks... :twisted:

Apparently, the hulk can also be nice, I grabbed one pedestrian, then through my *what does this button do* exploring - I put him back down and patted his head. I quicky repented, grabbed him and popped his neck in one deft move, and threw the corpse at a frantic police officer who had just then stopped firing his ineffectual pitol at me, who apparently then could not "feel his legs". The dialogue of your assailants and victims is amusing... and hopefully evolves, or there is some other cruising and bruising music I can find. If not, I will just put on some music in the background.

Hulk, does indeed, smash. 5 stars.

if you like GTA, and can handle being a freight train instead of driving one,. you will love it.

next, i gotta check out ultimate spiderman, but i heard it was too short.

When I need to vent I get on Battlefield 2 and become a commander. I don't do any combat. I just drop artillery on my teammates.
