People in my neighborhood don't know what racism is......we're an open suburb who pretty much accepts everyone.........
Not to be pickin', but LG I recall you telling me your dad had a bit of a chip on his shoulder..? How can that be true with any degree of certainty, if not even completely true in your immediate vicinity..? "Accepting Anyone" only goes so far in that case, doesn't it..?
It's not about people wanting to be victims, your reality will never be mine, and vice versa...And believe me, I'm not complaining...But you can't just be like, "A victim mentality," when the truth of the matter is these things are happening, and happening daily...I've said it before, there is a difference between racism and prejudice...This country is not run by middle aged black men, and race doesn't always play a part in that...But you can't neglect the fact that it CAN and DOES happen, no more than you can say it doesn't...
But, lets look at some facts...We don't have to speculate...
What is it when you make up less than 12% of the total poplulation, but more than 50% of the jails..? Isn't that some pretty fucked math..? Are blacks THAT much more prone to crime than other races..? By sheer numbers alone, that number should be nowhere near that high...Anybody should be able to deduce why crack is punished harder WAY worse than coke...It cause Lindsay Lohan and her party goin' friends are doing coke in the Hollywood clubs, but Jerome Johnson is balancing a triple beam so he can put dueces on his Escalade...
That's just the way shit is...No need in acting like it don't exist, and don't happen...To me, selling drugs is selling drugs...I'm not going to go out and move weight, knowing already my punishment could be 10 fold cause of the color of my skin, and then get caught and be like, "this is racist..!" That may be true, but it don't matter if you decide to do something wrong anyways...
Bottom line...There are already laws in place that punish people differently for the same crime for various reasons...

see, that's a racial demographic. MUCH different than a notion of "hate crime" or "racial profiling."

I was pulled over by an eight man task force with sem/automatic weapons and flak gear for driving in
Louisiana about 3 in the morning with caifornia plates.
I was harrassed, double spooked, and they tried to catch me in all kind of lie.
THEN even though I was white, they searched my car. in the street. in the first hints of dawn.
because meth is the new evil. and meth is color blind. and I said i was originally from there and didn't have an accent.
and one of the cops was my uncle (actually the brother of my former stepdad) and didn't recognize me until he radioed me in, and they asked me if I went by any other names.
I soon am going to write something very controversial, it is still in the works, so I will cut this short. The title says it all, though; "Sympathy for the White Devil."

ok, Let me prove I am white to the disbelievers.
Here is another factor I think plays into the variance of sentencing for drugs.
Coke is a rich people drug, you have to be moving stock for someone to care enough to flash stars at ya. The rich like it that way, so they don't complain, so there is less voices in their demographic calling for enforcement. besides they can often afford discreet treatment.
Crack is a poor people drug, you have EVERY community got at least three voters who are appealing to congressmen daily to "handle the crack epidemic." You have groups and individuals saying "the govt. don't like black people, and that's whe got the crack and the guns and the gangs. This affects the strongest voter base that is "up in the air." therefore, in an effort to show they care the most, republicrats and demopublicans try to show they care. Besides, they also have to appeal to the moral majority... who see this as success.
Conservatives actually do so, because it degrades the quality of public schools and health, which increases taxation and imbalances the burden of social services, and makes excuse for more government.
Liberals do so because they hope to establish a voter base in the most critical issues in the most unstable voter bases, in accordance with the strategy of opposition that Tip O' Neal put in place that degraded the integrity of the Democrats to the point of socialism.
No one {sane} wants to see Black Americans waste away the potential of their opportunity in the American Society, but many Black Americans feel that the opportunity should be far easier to balance out as representation throughout the nation. In a sense, to the conservative base, this means instead of integrating and excelling, they seek to cast down and assume the success of the current wealthy White Americans, which are a small percentage. So, according to the history of this Society, what needs to happen is the Black Americans need the chance to exploit Black Americans to establish the same economically advantaged stratified sub-culture that dominates White America. Well, we gave the Indians gambling,.. what do we give the Blacks?
In White America, this was initially done through their so-called civil vices. Necessarily, it must also be done with Black America, and as their way of life has often become a way of desperation, so do the severity of their vices refect that.
The crack baby is no more injust than the baby in the bubble whose mother was a marlboro man.
The kid with a gun is no more dangerous than the unliscensed teen swiping mom's keys to the minivan at night.
we hate to admit it, but a "user" is a "consumer", and every level of our economy is consumer-based.
True, there will be Huge travesties before Black Americans realized the grave implications of these people who pile up glut under the addiction-driven demand for "products"... but that is in every sense a core element of the American Way, and there is always the choice to abstain from participation in a free market. No one can make you buy or use crack, and when the news gets out its legal, /and taxed/, the REAL problem will be demand will die out as the glut is created and the addicts die off.
No voter base would support this in reality, so until then, we should enforce drug laws, and sieze their unrecorded and unauthorized assets for a held account to illustrate the damage upon the economy of unregulated commerce, and this money should be NOT USED FOR ANY REASON until we have a Black President. This will present them with the advantage to off-set the damage to the reputation of the American Black Man, and the history of White Presidents they will invariably be compared to. He should not have unmoderated access to it nor the obligation to spend it all, and no more than 5% (plus interest) of all gains should be used for tax refunds. These refunds shall be for the purpose of reparation of the American Human condition due to race issues from a convoluted past of immigrants who enjoyed no solidarity, which has no simple boundaries of color, skin, state, religion, or class; including but not limited to the Irish massacres, the Scottish massacres, the Italian Massacres, the African Servitude, The persecution of non-Christians, the Moravian executions, the British exections, the Dutch Executions.
This should be applied to all taxpayers who make less than ten times minumum wage.
FURTHERMORE, in the event that this happens; A separate account should applied to supply descendents of native indigenous people granted citizenship to this nation with 20% of this money, One point of the star that shines bright in the west is the least we can do.
No one can deny seeing a Black president will do wonders for the race effort, and the momentum for Blacks in the race for success, which will ONCE AGAIN apply competition back to this country as any other group who feels oppressed with the see the reality of opportunity, and this will promote strength among Americans as a whole.

Hey raum. I just read an article about McKinney. That's bullshit. The security guard asked her to stop, she didn't. So he walked up to her, grabbed, and she punched him. What the fuck is that? Why the hell would you punch a security guard? I hope to god she gets punished. Racial profiling, my ass. She's an idiot.
