WWIII

A school of music that studies the rhythm of nature, a school of fashion that studies the elegance of the Universe, a school of design that studies the architecture of the ancients, a school of philosophy that studies the time-tested Truth.

my view if there was a WWIII:
US+Friends (Britain, Europe, Australia, and others) vs Iraq, Afghanistan-This front would be incredibly difficult to define as it is not a conventional war as such. Perhaps it would be an inflamed version of what's going on now (increased frequency of suicide bombings, roadside bombs + i would expect attacks in the countries of US+Friends). I cant see this issue resolved any time soon.

US+Friends vs North Korea+Iran-both countries wanting to become nuclear powers. Coalition not all that impressed right now. I can see NK and Iran becoming best of friends as soon as the coalition makes a move against one of them. Outcome: given that US+Friends would already have resources in Iraq, Afghanistan, I'd have no clue as to how this would pan out.

Israel vs Syria, Lebanon, Palestine-Iran, Syria, Lebanon and Palestine would all be linked in a combined effort against Israel. Given that Israel has one of the most advanced militaries in the world, and is supplied by the US, its an each way bet as to this result.

China FTW!!-While all of the above is taking place, China is secretly amassing significant forces, ready to emerge as the new global superpower (im assuming that the US is on the down slope of its global glory having been stretched to fight/supply 3 fronts). It will claim Taiwan, and will have limited intervention in the Iraq conflict. Will probably act on North Korea if it feel threatened

all this sort of reminds of C&C Generals

Let's wait a little, when resources of oil and gas drop to a critical level, then we will se who will be confronting who. China has large economic growth, but it is still limited because they don't have enough oil. It is also interesting how Russia is slightly backing up Iran (i assume because of the oil too). I don't think North Korea, Aphganistan and Iraq are real players, they are just irrelevant.

Also, i think that battles will be fought by dominions, not by superpowers itself.
