There's no way in the fucking hell you should get pulled over for that..! Damn, I hope you guys didn't pay the ticket, that's fucking ridiculous...

And it's not like I don't know the law, but like I said, giving someone a ticket for some shit like an expired tag is bullshit, especially when I had a reason to have them...If it wasn't bullshit, he could have given me a warning, put it in the system that he had done so, so the next time I get pulled over for a tag, I get a ticket no doubt...That's fair, and makes sense...

Cops can't be expected to enforce every law without judgement...Every state has a shitload of ridiculous laws that aren't enforeced...Like I think its still illegal in my state to kiss in public or have an interracial relationship...I've gotten tickets before, and its sucked each time, but this is by far the most ridiculous...

You speeding to the hospital with your wife in labor or a medical emergency...Cop pulls you over...Writes you a ticket...Tells you, "Now, I see you got an emergency, so, just come to court with your doctor's excuse, and the judge will throw that right on out..." LG would be the one to say, yeah, my brother had just been bit by a snake, but I was speeding, so getting the ticket was justified...Right..?

God help the man that ever gets in a situation where he needs a cop...

How does what you said relate in any shape, form, or fashion to what happend to me..? Are you suggesting that racial profiling is a joke, or..? Just what are you saying..?

I never said I got the ticket cause I was black...I started the thread by asking why I might have been pulled over in the first place, and here you come with the brokeback mountain analogy, "you had expired tags and deserved teh ticket" so I hit you back with some equally brokeback analogy "you were speeding to the hospital and deserved the ticket..."

So, if you feel that I desrved my ticket, then you'd feel the same way if it happend to you (and it will), am I correct..?

on a serious note, if you had any reason to believe profiling could be an issue, why bother passing him in the first place? Especially after your well conducted experiment of mph vs time saved arriving to destination? And especially with expired tags?! Were you looking for a fight?

Good questions E...

The thing is...I'm like...The tag stick is an inch wide...I'm going the speed limit...Why would he even attempt to look me over like that..? And at that speed, I just assumed he knew he wasn't going the limit, knew I was, and would go on about his business...

I also knew that had he saw me slow down, that would be just as bad, if not worse than me passing him...Which would have made an even bigger issue...

I am just pissed that he handed me the ticket, and then suggest that the judge would throw the ticket out once I got my tag, which really pissed me off...

Well i gotta say i actually met a nice cop so they aint all pricks.....

drove down this street and its a one way street.... about half way down where it meets a small lane intersection it becomes a 2 way street and i didnt know it.... cos there was no sign...

so i parked my car on the other side assuming its a one way street, saw a cop giving out parking tickets and wasnt to worried cos it was a 2 hr zone and I'd only be there an hr max....

when i get out the cop tells me the part of the street im parked in is actually a 2 way street and i gotta turn my car around so it faces the other way otherwise he's gonna give me a parking fine.....

now the guy coulda jus let me walk off thinkin im sweet n then fine me once im down the road in the shops but he was actually nice enough to tell me to turn my car around.....

im asian with long hair and since i been unemployed for 2 wks haven't shaved n must admit i dont look like the most decent person u could possibly meet but the cop was actually pretty cool considering he needs to issue a certain amount of fines/tickets to meet his daily quota... i thinkst=0
