and oh let us know how it goes with that. I think using tuneUp you should atleast find some relief as there is a feature that allows you to have a certain amount of memory free all the time. Its called memory optimizer from memory.
Just give it a go.

Remote desktop emulation is one thing, having a computer eat itself is another thing...No OS I've ever encountered would allow this to happen, and especially not windows...You can't even run a full checkdisk w/the OS loaded, let alone a format command...No system marked drive would let that happen...
But K, if you haven't, I'd definitely format it myself to be on the safe side...

You could check what the last thing executed is before a freeze:
My Computer -> Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Event Viewer
Check under Application and System look for the last few entries just before it froze. That's usually the last entries before "Uniprocessor or Multiprocessor is Free" event on your system log
