less than an hour to go....and the pens have picked up gary roberts and george laraque (the tough guy!)

we'll see if any big names move by 3:00 p.m. est..

The biggest was probably Ryan Smyth. I think the Oilers got a good deal, though. It's pretty much already been decided that they won't be making the playoffs.

i agree that the oilers did well. it's a shame they had to trade the heart and soul of their team.

it's a risky deal for the islanders...if smyth doesn't re-sign or the team doesn't go far in the playoffs...it's a terrible move.

I think the teams that'll go furthest are actually the two that did not do much at the deadline: Anaheim and New Jersey.

P.S. My condolences to you Edmonton fans.
