Well, since I kinda punted on my rookie season of fantasy football last year, I wanted to be more involved and a better sport at the competition. Bragging rights might not mean much to some, but it is fun nonetheless with friends who love the thrill of the game.Kumicho wrote:IO, you are awesome, those are some great suggestions and observations...
I am getting better about this...I'm usually tinkering w/my roster first thing on Tuesday now...Loosing sucks ass..! I'm not sure who I'm playing this week yet, but I hope to stay on my current streak...Starting the season on the bottom did horrible things to my already fragile ego...
I'm still working out how points are scored and things like that, but it won't be long before I'm sticking a finger in the wind and trying to siphon information from the football gods about what to do this week...The Giants have the Browns this week...Hopefully Plaxico will get on the Eli Express that's been running here of late and help my fantasy team to another win...
After only playing about six weeks of it last year in a single league, I rejoined that league and have been very competitive in it, although I am below .500 (My only losses came by a margin of six of less fractional points, yes in all three of my losses... ticks me off some). I am still gaining experience, and finding new resources for the game. I mean, this game has been popular for almost twenty years now, but thanks to the advent of the internet, it has blown up even more in recent years.
Hell, I found this site last night: http://www.fantasysp.com/nfl/
It's all meant to excite what happens every weekend in the NFL. :D
[P.S. don't put too much stock in Randle El, at least not until he sees at least seven balls come his way per game.]
