for respect to this thread i'll disagree with Raum's and told him "that was the most idiot post about the Beatles" when Ayhja finishes listening to all the official albums.

Indeed , I think we can thank Milligan, Sellers and Secombe for much of the humor, their Christmas Messages are very Goonlike.

I'm going M8, I have to have solitude to digest an album, and that's sometimes hard to come by in my house...But I'll post my next review tomorrow..!

OK, better late than never, right..? The songs up until this point have been short, but I think I'm supposed to absorb the songs, right..? That said, its coming fairly easy...

Here's my virgin review of album #4, Beatles For Sale...

Again, the meshing of styles is evident...I can hear all sorts of elements in the songs, before, I felt I heard tropic elements, this time, I hear a folksy, country/rock type feel...It feels groovy, catchy...On a bit of a downside, and maybe not so much that as a reflection of the time or the need to have a common theme, if the Beatles aren't singing about love and relationships, or lack of either, they aren't singing...It keeps a down home blues feel to it with the subject matter...The other tracks not about that, I'm willing to bet were singles, commercial songs to keep the bills paid...However, the song writing does seem a little more mature, a little more metaphorical, and thus improving...

Favorite Tracks: I'm A Loser, I'll Follow The Sun

A week before BFS came out they released the I Feel Fine/She's a Woman single, neither song was on the album. :)

You're on the right way T/A/K, one more album (HELP!) to finish the ground base support and you'll be ready to get rid of earth gravity.

I really like your reviews, it is irrelevant wether I agree or not, but I've found them very honest.

Dudes..! I know I haven't been updating this thread, but...I can say for sure that I'm a Beatles fan now...Fap, there is no way I would have understood your last comment until I listend to the albums...It makes perfect sense to me now...

This past weekend, I got to listen to Help!, Rubber Soul, Revolver and Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band uninterrupted...Man, by the time I got to Revolver, I was totally...I don't know...Psychedelic is the only word I can think of to describe it...Shit, I don't have to wonder when exactly it was they started doing drugs no more than I even have to wonder if they started to do them...

Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds..?!?!? Man, when I heard that shit, I was like WHAT?!?!? Loved it...For probably the first time in my life, I definitely feel like I was on a trip, and if I would have been around somebody doing some drugs when I heard that shit, I would have done some too...Slowly but surely, the sappy little love songs weren't so sappy, they got some serious roots...So many influences worked into melodies...Its nothing I can't really say I've ever heard before...The composition of the songs matured in all ways, I stopped short of taking on the Double Disc White Album, I'll hopefully get to that one this weekend...

Favorite Songs:

Help! - Yesterday (This one seems a little country, not bad, but no standout tracks IMO)
Rubber Soul - Drive My Car, You Won't See Me, Nowhere Man, Michelle, In My Life
Revolver - Taxman, Eleanor Rigby, I'm Only Sleeping, Good Day Sunshine
Sgt. Pepper's - Titletrack, Lucy In The Sky, She's Leaving Home, Mr. Kite, Within You Without You

... all of that and you still have more Beatles albums to listen yet, what else can you ask for? I'm really glad you enjoyed the beauty of their work!

It's so cool listening to someone's virgin thoughts on the Beatles!
I would recommend watching some video footage of their interviews, especially early ones. i think it would give some insight into their characters, they just started out as kids loving music!
Beatles Anthology (film) is good but bit long
