Windows Live Messenger 2009

Post by AYHJA »

This managed to come out under my radar here lately...

I don't know what you're using to chat with, but the likely fact of the matter is that MSN probably owns it...I haven't played around with it that much, but it seems to be a little more user friendly than the other versions...

There is still the exclusion of some behaviors that I feel are essential...First of all, many users chat to more than one person at a time...I do not want to see 6 Instant messenger windows on my screen...M$ should really consider doing some of the things with their program that are currently only offered by add on programs like StuffPlug and the Messenger Plus add ons...

Both are currently not able to support the BETA, which for me means that I will tolerate the nuiances for as long as I can before I revert back to the standard version...If you want to take a look and do a beta run yourself, here's the info...

Version: WLM 2009 BETA (Build 14.0.3921.717)
Size: 18.6 MB [RAR]
Hash: 44caaf596d3c30f08dd015b474ebfbb2
Link: http://www.ayhja.org/Tech/AYHJA_WLM9-1403921717.rar

For the record, this is leaked...It's not really supported by M$, which kinda means you aren't supposed to have it...But whatever...Long live the internet...

Does anyone know if there's a way to tweak Messenger so it looks like IRC or AF's Carbon boardstyle with the black background &/or white/neon typeface?!? Thanks.

Probably not this version...

For sure not this version, none of the popular hack programs are working on it last I checked...But, you may be able to find such a thing for Pidgen...Do you use that..?

It is a chat client that ties together a great many different chat formats :)

No worries :) Check it out. It has somewhat limited functionality compared to MSN

Limited functionality, but if you're just chatting, its Golden man...
