It's not a conspiracy. It's not necessary for it to have been staged, it's just a formula that's tried and true. If this was at all serious, Kanye West should and would be banned from all future award shows. Instead, he will be placed on the list of must have performers because the producers know his inclusion will bring viewers to see what crazy Kanye will do or say this time. Without Kanye's antics the VMA's and Taylor Swift would have been just a 60 second blurb on Entertainment Tonight. West got the attention of TMZ, Leno, Good Morning America, The View, CNN, and even Barack Obama. Priceless.

It doesn't matter if you're famous or infamous. If you're noticed for your great talent or notorious for your bad behaviour, it's all good in la-la land. Just ask Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan, Chris Brown, Mel Gibson, etc., etc., etc.

And the band played on.

In response to Ayhja,

I can actually get behind and appreciate someone if they're able to transform themselves and make music or art that does not represent themselves. I think that has to do with the fact that I often find myself adapting and changing how I act in certain situations, so I am actually intrigued and more likely to appreciate that sort of transformation than the next man (maybe? I dunno, my justification for liking it)

I mean, don't get me wrong, I really love when someone can express themselves through art just the same, but for me its more of an admiration thing, I guess.

Lol man, what Ye did wasn't even close to as personally insulting and harmful as the things you just suggested as comparisons. In my view of the situation, it was much more about defending and sticking up for Beyonces work than it was about offending or putting down Taylor. I know you can't say "she deserves it" without saying "therefore you don't" but I don't really think it was meant to be as offensive as it either came off as or actually was.

Not to mention, as bad as the act was...all the repercussions of it seem to be positive, so it'll be hard to try and teach a lesson to him or as a general rule for everyone about speaking out whenever you want to. That's probably what gets me most about the whole situation

Man, if this was his first go round, I might agree...But he's done shit like this more than once...He's made a habit out of it...If that's not a put down, I don't know what is...

I know right..? If the shoe was on the other foot, dude would have fucking lost it, I'm almost sure of it...It's from that standpoint alone that I have such detest for the shit, had bonecrusher ran up on stage, took his fucking mic, and rambled on about Gnarles Barkley, he would have been begging Jay and them them start beef...

I would have felt better about it, in fact, if he did some shit like that to maybe 50 Cent...Maybe ran up on stage and tried to take Andre 3000's mic...Now that shit would have been funny, cdr...
