OK - I've been in mourning for long enough....
...at the end of it all, 'bama had themselves a nice win in a contest between the hiesman trophy winner and a true freshman quarterback. Cry a tear for Colt, he deserved a better ending to his college career than an early (almost immediate) injury.
...and to UT's credit, after a slow start they made a game out of it for a while. It will be interesting to see how Gilbert does.... and how the competition will be between he and Colt's brother Case McCoy. It will also be interesting to see if Shipley's brother chooses to follow to UT as well. He is currently a junior but is also proving himself as a fantastic reciever.
We may yet hear the words "McCoy to Shipley for the touchdown" ringing out again. Maybe even in a championship game....

Fan or not, having a Freshman at QB in the biggest game of the year lost us that game...The fact that we made a game out of it, man, you gotta know Colt would have had the game of his life had he not gotten hurt...You're right st4, dude certainly deserved better than that, but you know we'll be seeing him again...
