I think it will hurt it if the ratings bomb. Warners have been looking for an excuse to justify why strong female leads can't carry a show ever since Buffy proved them wrong.
I kinda dig the one with the loincloth and the shield (shields are all the rage this Spring).

I don't think Smallville has ever done anything spectacularly ratingswise and yet Supes is always a movie favorite. I think she's a big enough icon that if anyone ever did her story right and the costume and bracup size...then it would be great.
Still lookin forward to seeing this cause Palicki is hot and maybe she'll have a few catfights with Elizabeth Hurley but I know the writing will be terrible.

I think the success or lack thereof with the Green Lantern movie will decide whether we get a WW movie at all as that's how the muddled suits at WB will see it. It's not lookin' good at this point. I just read last week that Geoff Johns had a huge part in the screenplay of GL & it still somehow manages to look like a campy Ryan Reynolds vehicle.
Maybe but I still think Wonder Woman is such an icon that bad show or not someday she'll get her own movie. You can pick out anyone in the world practically and even though they've never read a comic in their life they'll know Wonder Woman on sight. It has to be done. And don't give up on GL yet Jig. Gotta look beyond RR. I think the story and the GL Corps will bring home the movie. After the raping Thor's backstory gets GL maybe our only hope. I still don't know what to make of Cap.
Actually I hope the Cap movie is good & mad successful just so Joel Silver & the execs at Warners feel damn stupid for deciding to shitcan Joss Whedon's Wonder Woman screenplay/movie just because it was mostly set in WWII & they didn't think that younger audiences would relate or be interested. Maybe then they will try and fastrack it & dust off Joss' story. Did you ever read it btw since it as leaked online 2 years ago? It was fucking awesome!
No I never even knew he got that far with it. I thought he just pitched and was gonna flesh it out later if they agreed to it. I heard they kept dragging their feet and he moved on. If you know where it is send me a link. Typical WB though.
