I guess Mozilla is going towards a Google based version release now? Just a brand new version when the only thing that changed was basic retooling of the application?

Google Chrome is up to version 11 and it still looks the same as when it was Alpha. In fact, I don't know of any major changes of the browser at all besides internal tinkering.

I'm actually using Comodo Dragon right now. LOL! Gave up on Opera because of the mess with the new Speed Dial introduced in 11.10. Tried Firefox 4 and was content until I noticed it eating up 900MB with only 2 tabs open. Come on Mozilla! Fix that crap!

I don't like Google so I won't use Chrome but Comodo Dragon is based upon the open source Chromium. :p

Sure. Chromium is available already in Linux. Dragon is just a Windows variant of the open source Chromium. In Mint, in the Package Manager just search for Chromium. It will be there. There's another Windows variant based upon Chromium called "SRWare Iron".

There is a version of Chromium for Fedora, but it is not in the repository.
