pathetic?

his skills were unmatched at his age...so he wanted to go to the NFL early. They wouldn't let him go back once he left...he made a poor showing....but then improved considerablly.

Who are you to call someone who got drafted to the NFL, after winning a National Championship in his only season at college pathetic?

LMFAO..

He was overrated from day 1. He had a solid O-Line, and a tiny bit of talent. The only reason he got props was cuz his team was good. Forreal, Michael Bennet was/is better (he played at wisconsin during Claretts year), but got 1/8 the props. To this day, I still do not understand how he became so worshipped. I at least saw highlights (if I didnt watch the game) of every one of his games, since I am a badger fan and obviously OSU is in the Big 10. I never saw anything that made him stand out. Fasho, he was good, but it got blown way out of proportion. Dude barely cleared 1000 yards rushing on the season if I remember right. I don't know how he "improved considerably", unless you call being cut and being a wasted draft pick an improvement.

You never saw anything that made him standout.....

Are you blind? Or just uneducated about football.

Barely cleared 1000 yards on the season as you recall....well, as I recall, he was a fucking freshmen. When you get a year out of highschool...please tell me taht you'd be the star of college footballs national champions.

If you went out for football as a freshmen...you wouldnt even make varsity...let alone the v-squad...or a starter....or a starter at an amazing football program.

But no....you're completely justified, sitting on your couch, calling Maurice Clarett a wasted draft pick.

Whoop de fuck, Ron Dayne had over 2,000 yards as a freshman..freshman in college isnt like being a freshman in high school...most college cats are fully grown..and yea he was the star..but shouldnt have been..there O-line was doin most of the work for him..

What the fuck does this have to do with my football ability? First of all, you aint even know me...and secondly, yea I will sit on my couch and call him a wasted draft pick. Who gives a fuck if hes 20375 times better of a player than I would be, that has nothing to do with the fact that he was drafted too early...6th or 7th round was what where I woulda gambled on him..

So now you're a professional football scout? No one cares where you would have drafted him....you're just another one of them...I can't do it myself, but I'll be the first to tell him that hes doing it wrong.

Get off his nuts..

i may not know football as well as most of you, but I CERTIANLY know you need more than one college year to make an analysis that concludes you to make a freshman wonder a pivotal point of your team.

that's a bad gamble, if you ask me.

What about AP.......he didn't even need all of last year, and he would have gone 1st in the draft most likely.

To be frank.....Clarett was taken too early, I agree with that. It is a gamble that MANY teams would have taken though.

I will agree with you that he was chosen too early, but to say he is a pathetic person with nearly no talent.......is riduclous.
