I'm going to get one of those to put in my LandCruiser, so the next person that tries to steal my stereo can't be identified.

false advertising: the 36 barrell weapons cycles round through all barrels simultaneously. this gives it a rate of fire of 27,778
rounds per minute. that is about 463 rounds a second. still amazing, and some 5 times faster than the rate of fire of the CWIS Phalanx anti-missile system on ships currently.

of course, with the good comes the true and the bad...

you also have the added issue of electronic failure, battery replacement, possible hacking, emp/ elf interference *which may be dormant in the environment*, extensive troop training, possible electrocution, limited weather conditions, transistor and fuse problems causing misfires, and of course the worst conditions to create a weapon safety for the damn thing...

and with a weapon firing that fast, it will auto-fire and soon. from barrell friction alone.

see, when you are firing a 50 calibur machine gun, for example. the gun heats up. you notice this when it goes live wild-fire, i.e. when it gets so hot it is discharging rounds from the heat alone, and then it can blow up when the heat transfers to rounds that are not in the chamber. that is when you break the linked round and douse the gun (even if you have to piss on it), and might even have to dump the gun if a round gets stuck in it, and it doesn't cycle through.

now, that is easy enough - provided you got an extra gun. but if the rounds are electrically propelled, how does the gun displace the heat. it must either be liquid cooled (no hydraulic cooling would work) or requires climate control regulation through extra equipment.

if he gives me one, I could help work out the details, but I am guessing this guy has never actually seen combat other than on a xbox.

Million rounds p/m or not, that dude is about to get phukkin' PAID kids...

Also raum, it says:

When the first bullet in the stack is fired, the next bullet expands and locks into the barrel. This prevents high pressure and high temperatures that could prematurely ignite the gunpowder.

I can understand this for missle defence but i hope they don't use the tech to make hand guns.I guess its not enough to put a few bullets into some one. With that rate of fire you could cut a person in half.

I'd like to see that in my gun cabinet. Of course I'd need a bigger gun cabinet for that though.

Here's another bad ass weapon
