Trying not to be forgotten man, that's all I can think of...It was a short time ago, that he was regarded as the best pound for pound fighter in history...He did things in boxing no man has ever done...And with one fucking punch, lucky ass Antonio Tarver (who just got roasted by 40 year old Bernard Hopkins, whom RJJ beat in his prime) bout made his whole career a fluke...The only knock on RJJ was that he didn't fight high caliber opponents, and when he Tarver knocked him out...And then Glen Johnson...It must be harder than I can imagine to want to retire like that...
My guess is he wants a couple more times to shine, to look and feel like the RJJ of old, and then hang his gloves up that way...
