I don't get it....

You (peepol) still face xp 64bit like it's something.... "new".

Well, it's not. It's NOTHING new. It's THE SAME with your "normal" XP, just with a 64bit core and divination of 32 and 64 bit tasks (i.e. in the task manager, you can see with a glimpse which applications are 32 bit).

I don't know the specs of the new laptop butt(SHAKIRA!) if it has: Athlon 3500 and 1GB (both are what I'm running on) or more of ram, I TRULLY see NO reason why you shouldn't run XP 64 bit.

The ONLY thing I would suggest against XP, would be 2003, but trully cracked 2003 64bit are ... kinda too hard to find. I haven't been able to find a copy that would sit down like a good boy. 2003 have indeed better performance than XP, especially if you stop/disable all the server extensions (which is the easiest thing in the world, and I can even find you a link "How to turn 2003 Server into a workstation" which describes in crazy detail all the steps you need to take to lighten up your 2003 and make them look like exactly xp.

By the way, I'm not an fps maniac or something butt(SHAKIRA!) I didn't know how else to measure things, so my first test was to run Quake 3 and take it to a certain place at Campgrounds II (in the quad hall, between the jump pad and the door, looking up) where I take notes of the fps. With bare installs, 2003 scored 10+ fps on a PIII 800/768 ram.... Imagine that /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" /> Needless to say that my "32bit" machines are all running 2003 now /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />

So far, I've fought for:

NT over 9x (it's a JOKE even to CONSIDER that ANY of 9x systems could do even a 100th of an NT system)

NT4 over 2k (2k was just the first try that still wouldn't match up the robustness and speed of NT4. Many improvements butt(SHAKIRA!) not ass(SHAKIRA!) good, still.)

Well, now it's the time... 64bit XP vs 32bit XP.....

That being said, BRING IT ON!!! Bring your petty 32bits to the slaughter to be crushed by my 64bit minions!!!

i am a little perplexed by the frequent interjections of latina pop singer's name into a discussion about operationg systems. this state renders me unable to give much weight to arguments made immediately preceeding and following the aforementioned interjections.

The aforementioned references (or "interjections" if you like it more) are very simple to comprehend:

Words such as "as" and "but" have direct (sounding) references to a female body part which I happen to adore. Thus, since the referenced latina singer happens to be my favourite female singer and also happens to be able to manipulate that specific body part extremely well, I cannot help but to actually be reminded of it every time I use these words.

Either way, if the actual part of the arguments (which was pretty serious) in all my above posts isn't enough for you to debate on, I'm sorry that you can't stick to the point and you'd rather stick on the Shakira references. Then again, since you're sticking so much on them, I'd urge you to give her a listen /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />.... Oh, and a view of course !!! Your explanation makes these interjections no less juvenile for this discussion. Unless your next reply indicates some kind of medical or psycological defect similar to Tourette's, that is the tone with which your future contributions will be read; which is too bad because it sounds _as_ though you may have had some knowledge on the subject.
