Guys...

I can feel the tension brewing..!

Take it to the flame threads, don't sling petty under blanket insults @ one another, please..?

Start a flame thread, and if you have to post, "Brains I don't agree with you, see here"

http://www.ayhja.com/af/link to flame thread.php

That is perfectly OK...

The person being assaulted doesn't have to read it if they don't want, and we can keep the discussions on point, and without feelings being hurt...Simple little gestures are one thing, but the all out attacks and such are another...

Make very good use of the Flame forum it is a good reason its there...

lmao... You kill me, Ja... I agree, though. Lets get back on topic. Coalition troops were able to successfully defeat the Taliban in a recent fight... and Canadians were involved. Go Canada. lol

What did Canada do... hit them with a slapshot to the dome? Were they throwing pucks at them and slapping them with fish? /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

Actually... if you read the article, you'd know that we've got over 2,200 soldiers in Afghanistan, and that's not including the Special Forces we have going in and out of the country. /:D" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt=":D" />

So, what is it... the regular army gets the pucks, but the SF gets the sticks to handle the ever so tricky slapshot? Just messing with ya Kramer.

If they want to kill themselves, then let them. If they want a democratic government then I think we should help them. But, if the people over there are not willing to take a stand for their own lives and take a little more control over these radical islamics, then we need to leave. They have to help us help them.

Well, the Afghan army, as far as I know, is doing a lot better than the Iraqi army. Afghanistan has a lot of soldiers and police on the frontlines. They're right there with the Canadians, British, and Americans. We just need to get them to a point where they can handle this shit on their own, then we can start pulling out.

It's the same thing in Iraq. We need to get the Iraqi army to the same point. It's a lot harder in Iraq, though... the insurgents keep attacking recruiting centers.

Training an army to go straight into the combat zone is a difficult task, and it can't be done over night. We'll be in both countries for a few more years.

Yes, but thats like saying you live in the good part of the ghetto. Both police forces/armys are not doing a very good job policing themselves. If these people are unwilling to protect themselves then we should be unwilling to protect them. Help us help you.
