Creation vs. Evolution: Comparing Apples to Orange Soda

QUOTE(trashtalkr)Creationism answers it with a "who" while Evolution doesn't. But in both cases, they try and explain how everything got here

Yes it does. Heard of the Miller experiment?

This bloke stuck some gases (carbon, nitrogen, oxygen, I guess) into a set of connected flaskes, with water, hooked up a cathode & anode to strike an electrical arc (as "lightning"), and let it run for a week, as the gases swooshed around the tubes.

In one of the flasks basic proteins were created. It seems a little dodgy, but it is some attempt at explaining where life started from, in order for it to evolve. So therefore, evolution does (at least) try to give an answer.

Ok, I am late, but here is my :2:

I have seen some ugly bustards that look like they evolved STRAIGHT from a damn ape. However, if evolution was the answer, why don't animals still evolve now? Why aren't we seeing apes talking, learning more than sign language, developing full motor skills, etc.? And, that crap about evolution takes 1000's of years is the same copout churches have been using since I was 5 years old.

We were created plain and simple. Created by what, I do not know. We love on the 1 planet that we can inhabit. We have everything we need to survive. We are the only forms of life we know about in the universe. I don't know who or what created us, but I know I didn't evolve from a damn monkey.

Because evolution takes longer than the average human lifetime. It takes a LONG time, not thousands of years, but millions.......

It's not crap, it's science. And you cannot compare it to faith, because faith and science are two different ways of thinking.

No matter how long it takes, there is no evidence of it happening now. Saying that something takes millions of years is the same cop-out religion has been using by saying "1 day to God is like 1000 years to us."

Since there is no way to prove either one true or false, both are faith based really. There is no clear evidence of evolution (just theory), just as there is no clear evidence of creation. We don't know for 100% fact which is true.

You didn't take notice of what I said. The things you mentioned, like apes and us etc., have barely been around for a million years. They evolved quite a HEAP in that time.

You don't see apes talking & developing full motor skills, because HUMANS are the evolved apes!!!!

It's gonna be another few million years before we evolve much more than our current state, and for the unevolved critters to die off.

These things happen very sloooooowwwwwwlllly, so you're not gonna notice the evidence of it happening "right now".

I'll tell you right now, 1000 years is barely a blip in geological time. Even a million years is a click of the fingers.

I never said that one "God-day" takes a thousand Julian-years. Again you're mixing faith & science.

Science is yet to prove things. They have AN answer, but it's as good as an answer SO FAR. That's how science works. Tomorrow theories could likely change. A million years from now theories will change.

Life is discovering new things, even about things you thought you knew back to front.

Evolution is the worst explanation for creation. As Aemeth said, the scientists stack everything in their favor and don't allow for what it really would be like. It's really crazy how they cheat in their experiments.
"If there were no eternal consciousness in a man, if at the bottom of everything there were only a wild ferment, a power that twisting in dark passions produced everything great or inconsequential; if an unfathomable insatiable emptiness lay hid beneath everything, what would life be but despair?"

Soren Kierkegaard

Thats my thinking. They can explain everything, but their explinations are WAY too one sided.
