QUOTEleaving the country in a worse position than it was when we go there isn't an option...
But it is an option. This administration won't have to deal directly with the results of this project if it can hold it off for another 2 years or so. Irak will slowly and painfully rebuild itself with or without outside intervention. How long have these people been around?. What I AM concerned about is how these fucking religious fanatics are going to use this. Fundamentalists must be salivating right now thinking how many disoriented and embittered youth must be out on the streets, looking for a way to make this right.
I think this is god's cue for a miracle, don't you?

i mean: all the insights you guys are gradually coming to the last few months, this "maybe this was not such a hot idea after all". What the hell do you think tens of millions of persons worldwide protested for when the Iraq war was still only on paper?!
funny to see how it took you guys over three years to realize what millions of intelligence starved individuals knew already before you shocked and awed the world with your impressive but useless arsenal?!
Brains, what the fuck are you talking about? Who said Iraq was a bad idea? Did you even bother to read the article? Let me break it down for you.
This articles expresses the views of the soldiers fighting in Iraq, and those views are that the U.S. cannot leave right now because there is still a lot of work to be done.
Sometimes I think you just read what you want to read...
And I'm absolutely appalled by JDog's response... um, buddy, considering you guys started this, you kind of have a responsibility to fix the fucking country.
But pull out if you like, no more Americans will be killed... who cares about all the Iraqis being killed, they don't matter anyway...

wow. cute.
and funny: because it is in stark contradiction with the only (official) reason left for that mini-coalition invasion: liberating the Iraqi people from a vile dictator. Why would you do that if "they don't matter anyway"?! lol
and sad: because a bit over 60 years ago another dude thought that "they don't matter anyway" and started killing them by the thousands. So, awfully sad to read such a statement from you.
