Until DRM is cracked SO BADLY that no company will use it, people should stay away from it and products that embed it.

There is a whole industry devoted on controlling the way we use OUR mp3 (careful, I'm NOT referring to pirated mp3) songs which WE create from the disc that WE BUY.

I am one of those who downloads stuff that has a potential to be bought . I don't just fill DVDs with mp3s to brag about the collection I have. Thus, I find TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE the fact that someone wants to control the use of a disc that I have ALREADY bought and paid for.

Backing up YOUR OWN and PAID FOR, stuff is already illegal and now I have to pay extra to carry it in an mp3 player? Sir NO sir. Thank you very much.

In addition, having a separate program that "transforms" the mp3s in a format (yes, I'm talking about ipods) that's "readable" by the device, is also something I find unacceptable.

Basically, it all sums up to the fact that the music industry is very mad at pirates and wants to kill EVERYBODY because of them. Even innocent users. Sorry, I won't sit and watch. Screw them.

Errrr... just to set the record straight here, I'm not a saint /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" /> I download stuff myself, I am TOTALLY AGAINST the OVERPRICING policy of the music industry and I just download the least I can when it comes to music. Under no circumstances will I deny that I DO download stuff that I never end up buying.

Now you can send someone in a black suit to gag me and bag me and take me in for interrogation /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />
Good... Bad... I'm the guy with the gun...

Plus, M$ made it, so it's gotta be bad.. lol

Nah, apart from the product-crippling DRM that is forced on you if you purchase one, it's a good product. Though, it doesn't quite live up to all the hype Microsoft's PR department put into this one (they're a pretty busy bunch, lately - lot's of bullshit to write about crap products)..

Forgot about this thread. It'll be real interesting now because my mom bought the MP3 Player, but my brother doesn't have a computer anymore. It crashed a few weeks ago, and he decided not to bother getting it fixed to save himself some cash. He also cancelled his Internet. lol

So it'll be real interesting to see how he downloads songs and uploads them to the player. My mom seems to think he can just use my comp, but with my HD crashing there's no way in hell he'll be able to fit 512 MB worth of songs.

Shit, this thing starts clicking if I do a virus scan... lol
