Burress isn't a good reciever?

T.O. won't solve the Giants problem.....esp if they're really losing Tiki after this season.

Point blank...T.O. will always be able to find himself a team willing to try and put up with his crap....who in the big leagues is humble enough to really say "I can't control him"? Every coach thinks they can handle him...and while his skill seems to be fading...he's still a good reciever.

Someone will pick him up.

The fine for spitting is ridiculous. You can't make expectations and examples out of players just because you feel like it. The NBA fight has nothing to do with the NFL so it shouldn't affect it at all. To let another professional sport's incident affect your own judgement in punishment is a flawed agenda.

Just because it's T.O. doesn't mean his fine for an incidient should be twice that of the last one....esp when it wasn't caught on tape....but he did admit to it..so that goes out of the window....but still...to give him a higher fine is unfair. That'd be like MJ getting T'd up this season (if he was still in his prime and everyone's favorite)...and not having to pay as much as everyone else just because he's MJ....

Frankly...I still don't mind T.O....but his horrible performances on certain Sunday's are hurting my arguements.....

catch the damn ball...

Not sure I understand all the hating... I'll be the first to admit that I don't like the guy. I think he's a bit of an ass, but...

QUOTE(trashtalkr @ Dec 29 2006, 10:08 PM) At this rate, he's going to be playing for every team in the NFL!
and...

QUOTE(deepdiver32073 @ Dec 29 2006, 11:31 PM) at this rate, no team will want him!
Really?

In his 11 years he's only played for 3 teams. That may have just been a hyperbolic statement, but 3 is still a far cry from 32.

And I agree with LG, as long as he can continue to play the game well I don't think he'll have trouble finding work at all. He's caught 12 TD passes this season. That's pretty good. If Dallas does release him over the summer it'll be because of Parcell's ego. lol

I can't really comment on the spitting because I wasn't aware it even happened... lol

Yes. it was a hyperbole. I know he spent many years with SF but it seems that lately, since the Baltimore/Philadelphia fiasco, that he's just switching teams all the time. I know it isn't true, but Philly only kept him for 2 years, Dallas will probably only keep him for 1 year, who knows how long the next team will keep him

The only thing that I can say, is that TO's spectacular catches, to his spectacular drops are bad on the wrong side of the tracks for a receiver...WR's don't have the luxury of bullshitting these days, without a doubt they are the deepest of the skill positions that are farmed from the NCAA...Look at that guy from the Saints this year, he's kicking ass and was almost the last pick in the draft...

If everyone that is expected to come out this year comes out, there will be a shitload of WR's that end up on good teams...Pretty soon, his only rapport will be that he's an experienced receiver, but that wont' hold up much longer, father time catches up with us all...
