The thing is, Favre has already proven himself. Quinn hasn't

If 'proven' yourself mean won a few big games, and been durable, sure...

Otherwise, I forsee nothing but pain in arguing this for you tt, lol....

By overrated, I tend to mean someone as being a system QB...

David Klinger, for example...Or, Texas Tech QB's...JJ Redick, whom I told LG would not cut it in the NBA, even though he was lighting dudes up in the NCAA...Anyway, back to football...

If you're in mega west coast offense, in which the run game is broken down to mainly draws and you rely on short passing in place of runs, then sure...You can have several consecutive 400 yard passing games...You're SUPPOSED to have several games like that...

When QB shows good poise, the ability to run an offense, good mechanics, he's a good QB, and entitled to a shitty game...And on top of that, Quinn has played exceptional in plenty big games, despite them not have a great defense or a phenomenal runner....

Ask yourself, if you had put Brady Quinn in the same situation as Matt Leinhart, would USC be not as good..? It is through this process that I evaluated Matt, and we see he's a pretty good NFL QB...

Homework people, homework..!

don't try to confuse the issue with facts and logical reasoning.

Trash... silly Trash... lol

In the four years that Brady was with ND, he completed 929 of his 1,602 passes for a percent of 58%. He threw for 11,762 yards, 95 TDs, and only 39 INTs.

I ask you... how the hell has he not proven himself? o_0

Mind you, Brady Quinn has shattered pretty much very passing record Notre Dame has...And...I would suspect you fellas ever heard of a guy called 'Joe Montanta'..? Think he played his college ball at Notre Dame...He may have been pretty good, I'm not sure...

@ radioguy

You haven't been here long enough to know what CDR means, but trust me when I say it, what you typed was a huge CDR...

oh...and didn't a guy named rick mirer set some passing records at ND too?

ok..ok...truce.

but, i will say that i will enjoy watching the steelers pummel quinn twice a year, if he gets picked by the browns.

on a related note...i hope pittsburgh drafts poz from penn state. he grew up in western pa....perfect fit for the "stillers."

Rick Mirer, if I am not mistaken, played QB when Notre Dame had the 'Killer Bee' backfield, yes..? Jerome Bettis and Reggie Brooks..? Shit, my son could have broke a few records playing in that backfield, lol...

Even still Quinn and Mirer man...Not even in the same league...Rick Mirer is like...The Gino Torretta Notre Dame QB's...Brady hardly had a back the caliber of Bettis, let alone 2 during his Notre Dame tenure..

I don't think the Browns will draft him though...
