While I ain't going to directly knock it, it does sound kinda like you got the name of the band worked out before you actually got a demo tape, so to speak.

and yeah, Flash only is not going to go over well... and neither is that color scheme for theory of revolution. Blue is the color of obedience.

As far as I can see, you are looking at property development, fashion, and music, and somehow this promotes change and can clarify God in some way... or something.

what does the little picture of the pacman thing eating crosses symbolize?

QUOTE(RIMFIRE @ May 31 2007, 03:33 PM) Honestly.....
So let me understand this, YOU, Aemeth, are the ONE to portray what God is???

I think Bible Thumper and am immediatly turned off.

If you are shooting for arrogant, you've hit a homerun but because of that you will only draw in some really needy souls......you know, the kind that can't function without, dare I say it, an organized cult like group of people that claim to know and understand what the creator wants them to do.....

Scary.
*Forgive my intrusion into the VU, I know I don't normally post here, but this one bothered me.*

I find it ironic that you view a radical, non-traditional view of "Christianity" synonymous
with Bible-thumping. I feel I am called to portray God this way, because that is who He is . I have studied up; done my homework. I have a lot to learn, yes. But this idea does not seem too far from the truth in my eyes. But what is so wrong about spreading a message I feel called to spread, especially one of this nature (unconditional love, justice out of this love, etc.)?

Thanks for your contribution though! Please elaborate on your problems with this! (Please don't take that as sarcastic, I am genuinely interested.)

I forgot to mention that I do not plan on officially launching this until I am 25 or so (7 years). This site is merely to raise awareness. It is by no means set in stone.

The logo, while it may be hard to decipher), is of Satan with x'd out eyes, a frown, and a tear drop.

Any other thoughts, Raum?

QUOTE(Ĺ“bermensch @ May 31 2007, 02:39 PM) From a marketing point of view, the only thing I don't care for is the flash only format, I'm not sure of the numbers, but I think, God forbid, half the net is still on dialup...Hopefully, your intended demo will fair better...Also, edit your HTML and give your page a title...

And yes, I checked the site out...I can't say that I fully understand its purpose, but I think that the foundation is fairly solid...And since you insisted that this was a discussion, I'm inclined to want to know more...

"Truth x Vision aims to primarily affect the spiritual, social, and economic aspects of society..."

And starts off by suggesting we need moral, social, and economic revolution...What does that mean, exactly..?

I only have a quick minute now...But in a nutshell:

Moral revolution -- Society views morality in one of two ways: Either you are moral and hypocritical or amoral and loving/accepting. I wish to encourage a moral, loving society.

Social revolution -- Um, basically implementing the concepts of moral revolution into society. Moral revolution is within the individual. The goal is for social revolution to occur because of this transformation. However, the music, movies, etc. produced are also designed to affect the individual, a sort of yin-yang idea I guess. It is late. Feel free to pick me apart if I am erroneous.

Economic revolution -- Christ's central message was care for the poor. The key here is redistribution. Read the quote in my sig about capitalism and marxism. I guess that is the goal.

Did that help clear anything up?

Hi there. I checked out your site. Here is some feedback:

1) I didn't really understand what it was about at first. Took me a while to figure out you are trying to connect people to Christianity in novel ways. Great stuff. However, I still think the methods by which you want to do this are really vague and not well set out on the site. A clear breakdown would help.

2) IMHO the flash has to go. Flash is terribly annoying. Takes a while for the text to load while the left hand side thing bobs around. Just my opinion tho. I really do avoid sites based on too much flash.

3) I don't understand your use of the Satan character. Is it supposed to signify him dead? Wouldn't most Christians identify the symbol as Satan and immediately question the purpose of your site? If I was wanting to promote Christianity I think this is the very last symbol I'd want on the frontpage of my site. I strongly suspect devout "oldschool" (i.e. baptist) Christians would be immediately put off by this.

Anyway... I like the idea I think you are trying to promote. Just think it is being hampered a bit by lack of clarity and some off-putting design features.

Good luck with it.

Raise awareness of what? I think that is what is confusing. How does "sell music and clothes" equate to "raise awareness."

As far as what God IS, you also have to therefore establish what God IS NOT. Ahih Ashr Ahih. That is the words of the God of Mosheh. I am that I am. None can look upon any visage of his but from behind, because the face of what he is will drive man mad if not burn him to a crisp. That is why you must completely dissolve the mind to enter the presence of the countenance, and if you try to relate it to others, you babble as much as you inspire. The evasive wording of the New Testament Koine Greek is VERY difficult to pin down, and the english has some good ideas in it, but little of actual spiritual merit in the context of the mythology of Christianity.

You want an idea of Christianity at its roots, go to a Coptic church. I did Memorial day weekend, and it was a beuatiful service in many ways. The Egyptians there were trippin that I could read their language and recite their Coptic prayers, but knew not one lick of the Arabic that permeates the church since Arabic is the official language of Egypt. They even let me partake of the feast of their sacrament, though I am not baptised in the sovereignty of Mark the Apostle. They let you sleep in service too, because it is about three and a half hours long. Besides, in sleeping we recieve comfort, and The Paraclete (The Comforter, an epithet of Iesu) was at one time the greatest role of Iesu, who could be called upon to strike your enemies impotent and to get a chick in the sack, and that is from the people that Iesu's disciple Mark delivered.

They are uncomfortable with those roots of pantheism, but personally, I am not. You want truth, fine, truth is Christianity was calling upon spirits to obey you and deliver unto you what people call miracles. Textbooks full of the stuff, and far more linguisitically sound than the fabricated Bible, even in the Koine Greek. And I have a few of those textbooks myself.

So does getting Jesus to send forth Gabriel to scourge your enemies fit into your raising awareness?

If so, where can I buy a mixtape with the fourteen adjurations of Raphael in the name of Tauriel, Iesu, Horus, and Bael on it?
