matrix revolutions sucked.

the meaning was lost in how bad the movie was. the second one started to lack, but the third was useless in its implementation. the same meaning could have been used had it not been such a suck-ass movie.

the eighth of a bottle of pernod sitting next to me agrees.

the end of AI held some of the same meaning. hel, the end of return of the king held the same meaning.... and both were better movies.

I, for one, am tired of people in hollywood trying to replace talent with meaning and depth, which is neither original nor well implemented. Some have better success, and few have more failure than Matrix Revolutions.

Albert Camus and Friedrich Nietzche has much to say about this topic, and his work is perhaps more valuable than platos in understanding the last two movies.

It all becomes a clusterfuck of "meaning" by the end, and begs for some real comprehension and talent to make it a complete picture. It would have probably helped if they would have just made another movie, and not a sequel. Agent smith is a fucking bore, and a poor choice of character to be the antogonist. The "train" is stupid, the kid trying to prove himself is a moron, the machine is not enough like a machine, and the whole "third" movie leaves me with more of a desire to not ever watch any of them again, because they were so poorly completed.

Haha...

What about the half empty, half full glass...?

I can't lie, I was SEVERELY upset when I left the theaters...I was upset, that I had to look so far into shit to justify my watching it...I wouldn't go so far as to say that the movie taints my view of the other two, but I will say that it left many more questions, than in answered...

I did think that it was great, how certain characters made it possible to cover the reactions of so many people, if we were to ever be placed in that situation...But, since we're hatin' at this moment, I will elaborate on my critique of it as a film, and not a philosophical marvel...

First things first, it made no sense for Trinity to die in the second film, only to turn right around and die in the third...

It was never really cetain, of how Neo or Smith, came to the head of their powers...The parallels, to real life, philosphy, and appllication, are to great...

Of course, there are more, but I want to further enhance you points raum, that you made about the architect and the temple, I feel it is a topic worthy of it's on thread...So, if you have the time....We got the shine..!

IMO, they bit off WAY more than they could chew, and ended up using the tried-and-true technique of..."I'll let you draw your own conclusions"...
I call BULLSHIT!

...but we can keep going, game if ya'll are...
