FYI: Flushing the body is a good idea.

I use about 500mg slippery elm a day. Most pregnant women will want to avoid it, as it can cause abortion, but you can actually live on a gruel of slippery elm and water, and it VERY healthy.

It also helps curb hunger in addition to (in my opinion) making Fake food taste horrid, and forcing me to live on raw fruit, almonds, cooked meat, and leafy greens, and some guilty pleasures. Last time I craved a burger, I got to the window, and the smell of the thing made me go get a salad with dried cranberries and grilled chicken. On the other hand, a PRIME steak tastes even better, because of the rarity of the beef in your diet.

Also, especially when cleansing, avoid bottled juices, none of it has the enzymes fruit have to help reduce fat, and most are packed from concentrate. READ LABELS. Drink at least 72 ounces of ROOM TEMPERATURE water when flushing the body. Drop the bottle, and grab an apple.

And unlike the high colonic, Slippery elm can be used 365 days a year, and it doesn't interfere with alchohol!

Also FRESH Cranberries and Blueberries will your friend if they grow in your area if you need to cleanse.

Are there any equivalents to Slippery Elm?

What I mean is, an equivalent tree species that provides the same effects as Slippery Elm.

Although, honestly I don't fancy chowing down on mushy squishy tree bark to get a feed. No offence.
