Yeah, but at least it isn't Brett Ratner.

Actually I think Ratner has more cred than that guy has.

Ratner & McG both suck ass. a T4 needs a director who can do both balls-to-the-wall action & character development. guys like Bryan Singer(X-Men 1 & 2,Superman Returns) & Guillermo Del Toro (Heelboy films,Pan's Labyrinth,Blade II). anything Terminator would be shit w/out a story.

Sam Worthington Cast in ‘Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins

So although up and coming actor Sam Worthington may not be acting in the new ‘G.I. Joe’ film as Duke after all, audiences will still see him fight onscreen as he has been recently cast in McG’s ‘Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins’ after James Cameron personally recommended the actor to star in the role.

IESB.net gives us this:

While the “Terminator Salvation” plot has twists and turns that are being kept under tight wraps, Worthington will play the role of Marcus, a central figure in a three-picture arc that begins after Skynet has destroyed much of humanity in a nuclear holocaust. A group of survivors led by John Connor (Christian Bale) struggles to keep the machines from finishing the job.

Rumor Mill: Has Terminator 4 been Terminated?
Image
Has Terminator 4 been Terminated? UGO’s Movie Blog claims that a crew member “was recently overheard discussing his newfound free schedule due to the production shutting down.” For now we’ll mark this rumor as unconfirmed and hope for clarification, confirmation, or denial from the Halcyon Company in the coming days.

I was actually pretty excited for the fourth film in the franchise. The producers involved seemed to have a clearly laid out plan for a new trilogy. And while many have prune-faced director McG, most have praised the casting of Christian Bale as John Connor, Anton Yelchin as Kyle Reese, Avatar’s Sam Worthington, and Josh Brolin rumored to be on board as the Terminator.

That's a cool pic. I hope it's not off. The TV show got me all ramped up again for this property after the shitfest that was T3. :p

[center]Schwarzenegger Cameo In Terminator 4?
Image
ArnoldIt appears the Emperor of California may grace Terminator 4 with a cameo appearance! We get word of this saucy rumor thanks to our friends at the moviehole:

In this latest chapter of “Will Schwarzenegger make a Cameo in Terminator 4?”, we hear from someone whose opinion probably carries more weight than a forum member’s - yep, the Governor has come out and actually mentioned the odds of an Austrian cyborg walking the skully terrain of the future.

“I’ve never had a dialogue with anyone about it. But if they shoot the movie in California, I would (be a part of it), yes”, Contact Music quoted the big guy as saying.

I would love to see a cameo of the T-800 robot in the future robot wars! Usually I am not that interested in cameos, but it really would be awesome if Arnold could make a guest appearance. Schwarzenegger will be out of office soon; and I hope he returns to film. The man is an outstanding action star, but is also very, very funny and I think he would be a welcome addition to the comedy genre.

The man is often lampooned because of his accent, and lot as a muscled action hero; but he has been in some outstanding films. Terminator, Conan The Barbarian, Twins (that’s right; Twins), Predator, Total Recall, The Running Man and Pumping Iron are films everyone should see. Hopefully this cameo will wet his whistle, and cause him to return to the silver screen where he belongs.

We can’t say a cameo is absolute at this point, but if production happens in his home state - we will certainly have our ears to the ground!

Bryce Dallas Howard replaces Claire Danes in Terminator Salvation
Image
SlashFilm:

The character of Kate was introduced in Terminator 3 as Kate Brewster, played by Claire Danes. If you remember correctly Brewster was actually the one who sent the last terminator (played by Arnold) back in time to protect John, as Connor was said to have been assassinated on July 4th 2032 by the same T-850. The film begins 14 years before his assassination.
