Thanks for the warning notice, raum...
but you forgot to autograph the photo.

I really didn't come here for a lesson in revisionist lunacy, but I have a feeling it's on it's way.

Um,.. for the record... what *did* you come here for?

why did you thread jack every post to be about your anthill of problems Canadians and self-exiles have with America.

You insult our leader.
You insult our history.
You insult our laws.

and ignore your own.

Did you come in here and see we are all talking about the Canadian issues? Are we all tuned in to whatever kind of puppets rule you all. We all screaming about the history of slavery in canada? Posting Russian articles about how a women trying to get some cash mugged a dude she offered to blow?

Want to talk about slavery and injustice, go start a post about Marie-Joseph-Angelique, connasse!

This thread WAS about the recession. you are just blathering off about any and every beef you can come up with about America, and can't be bothered to make sense or have respect.

No, this thread was about a Fox News propaganda article that Buffmaster posted without attribution.
Please forgive me for coming to the defense of every American who he called an "East coast commie/Socialist pig".

As you pointed out, the Fox News opinion piece was a load of crap.
I believe that my posts were a point of information directly related to the origins of the article,
responses to the propagandistic methods used in that Fox article,
and defences against attack from yourself and Buffmaster.

When it comes to North - South internecine strife in Jesusland, "Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn!" :laff:

All I need to know about the USA and its expansionist Jingoism
can be summed up in this song:

see that's my point:

you attacked FOX via someone posting an article, and not just anyone....

BUFFMASTER

had you bothered to get to know us, you would know that alot of us have tolerance for views that are not our own. Buff is part of this crowd, but then you even attack ME - I am the second person on the roster of this forum. Only Ayhja himself is older in regards to it, and he and I have a kinship that predates this forum by years. He is the progenitor of it, and to his credit, I thank him for providing us such a great forum. and both of us got beef with the people making decisions that affect the US.

~ but hey! This is our sandbox.

Had you bothered to get a bit of wear in your shoes before you come squeaking up the floors, you would see EVERY post Buff makes in the worldwide section comes from FOX, Rush, Newsmax, or some other Right-ist publication. That is him and while I disagree with the spin on some of it, it is directly in contrary reactive position to some of the extreme left stuff that people post... like that crap about some russian anti-american YOU spit in here without provocation. He does this in regards to these anti-American posts, mostly by people who are NOT Americans.

I have NEVER once seen a non-American come here to the worldwide section and not attack us for being Americans. go to http://www.usarmy.com and carry your beef, or spray your vinegar at http://www.uscongress.gov or whatever. We don't make the rules! but we ain't fumin mad over Canadian laws either. This is not http://www.GOUSAUSAUSA.com.

If you want to post YOUR anti-american views, do so on your "about me" section. Go in the meet-n-greet and say hey, this is ootpoot, and I got no love for the USA, check my profile for some great anti-american sentiments. AND LET IT GO. you can even make a post to the russian defect guy you give us daily updates on.

*insert clever img here because I can't think of something of substance to say to intellectually humble you*

You think a b!tch in russia ain't sucked a dude for a potato? I got this girl named Lana in NY. She comes from part of the former soviet union, and she got some stories for ya. Prostituted for potatos at the age of SEVEN... and that is just the beginning. In fact, in Victoria British Columbia, I could have had a chick for a pack of CIGARETTES!

Whores mug dudes in New Orleans like this all the time, ain't saying nothing much but about how a dude needs to think with his brain when a woman puts him in a vulnerable state and his wallet is around. Damn, the Bible, the Quran, the I Ching, the Ifa Oracle and the friggin Popul Vu say that!!!

So come in with some leftist spin and expect some relatiation by Buff, who you can PM to ask him what his views are. This is meant to be an informative section, not an argumentative one.

That's why I asked in my first post if this place was run by adults.
It seems that a select few like to bully with xenophobic pedantry.

However, I read your comments and, like Monty Python's castle guards,
I just fart in your general direction. (Wink, wink, nudge, nudge.)

You seem to have some unwritten rules of forum conduct that involve nepotism and sycophancy,
and have judged that I am doing it the wrong way...

oot, what does being an adult have to do with simple things like respect..? Nobody here knows you...Your first posts in this forum were inflammatory articles written by a foreign writer in some Russian Mag...

I mean, what do you expect..? Some guy you don't know walks into your house and behaves like you have behaved here, what do you do..? For example, I asked that if you're going to post pics that may not be safe for work, to enclose them in tags...I've edited at least 2 posts today with such pics...Maybe you forgot, don't think about it, but again...If I walk into your house, and ask to take a shit, the least I can do is flush the toilet...Not run around saying, 'Damn, you guys act like you've never smelled shit before..!'

When the fact of the matter is we have, don't like it, thus the recommendation to flush the toilet...

I don't know if I'm an adult, but I'm adult enough that I know better to let any man, woman, child, or beast run afoul in this fortress...

We don't know you...
You don't know us...

If you think the best way to get to know someone is to walk in and test their temperament, then might I suggest that is about as ass backwards as it can be...How about you take some time to read some threads, post some threads asking our opinions, and get to know us instead of the course of action you've taken here thus far...It's not working...

If you're not sure of how best you can do that, send me a PM or two and I'll help you out as best I can...

Huh? in my statement: "Our sandbox" = America. I am not talking about the forum.

Didn't see your first post. This is my "workplace" chill spot. I am certain you are not calling me Xenophobic. How many times you have participated in the fasting of Ramadan in the Middle East? How many times have you been an honored guest of a Chinese Master of the Tao? How many Sufis have asked for your commentary on works of Rumi, that included public readings of his work in Berkely California? How many times have you been asked to lecture on the Picatrix or some equally esoteric Hermetic work? How many times have you spoken at an Anarchist meeting about the advantages of the polyamorous habitation in the Alchemists ghetto of prague during the 16th century. or the need to revise American consumerism? I am not bragging, and am not an academic... no degree at all, yet spoke in an advisory capacity to congress and the dept of energy already this year. I am just an earnest seeker... who has found SOME things... and just TRYING to demonstrate to you I am not Sean Hannity or whoever... Not looking for (more) disciples, not looking for some flattery. Stop assuming you know me and get to know me, or if you are going to make off-color comments, offer a disclaimer. Meanwhile, you come across as a jack ass. You post articles from the eXile, which I can't tell if you take the rag seriously or not. Hell, it is shock journalism from the expat scene. I know that it is satire, do you? How many expats have you met?

I personally find the notion of making territorial claims nonsensical. prolly why I have little.

You made some off comments about violence in America and need for gun control. I posted a sound refute. You have not stopped attacking me since. What gives?
However, I read your comments and, like Monty Python's castle guards,
I just fart in your general direction. (Wink, wink, nudge, nudge.)

Bonus points for the Holy Grail reference!

*That* is pretty pompous, sir. I don't really get the cartoon thing, but prolly because this is my work computer and i hate most of those useless storyless oneliners with some caricature on them, and I tend to have alot of time doing heavy data crunching. So I visit here and try to stay awake. I am not really certain what you think sycophancy means, but flattery in general, is not something I see demonstrated. No one here seems to be in side-kick mode to me. And a simple look at even my most exhaustive posts says "DON'T TAKE ME AS GOSPEL." but if you find something, share. share in good will.

Thank's for telling me what you see. Here is what I see; that new kid at school who comes up and starts insulting people, and laughing, nervously, because he is a social retard and doesn't know how to properly make acquaintances on common views, interests, or useful or pleasant conversation, in general.

As far as a sense of Fraternity between Ayhja, we have known each other going on 10 years. We have talked about EVERYTHING, and have a good friendship. Mostly cause we have common views on ALOT (but not all) things. Don't see alot of fascism in that, or elsewhere in this list. As for Buff, I gotta say, he is way right of right, but you know what - at least he don't post the damn entire website like he used to, and I do appreciate his contribution cause he is active. now he just copies the article. I am grateful for that cause it used to crash my browser to look at his posts. and I commend him for acquiesing to technical conventions requested, at my behest. (I know them big words, too :P )
I believe that a closer unbiased reading of my comments will reveal that I am not "anti-American",
but "anti-bigot", "anti-macho", "anti-wingnut" and "anti-asshole".
I am surprised that you can't or won't differentiate among the choices.
:o
What closer reading of the three things you posted in here? The off-color comments about Americans and guns, or the off-color comments about the evils of our economy, or the defense of resident aliens who attack our citizens? These are pretty hot topics in the conversational efforts you have made so far. That, and then assuming I don't know three syllable words because you can't refute the fact you didn't read up on something before commenting. Hell, name one thing you like about America... and why. Or ask us what we think of Canada, and why?

I also think you are tipping the scale on the vernacular to try and compensate for the posts where you are demonstrating a deficiency in gaining momentum after a few ad hominem attacks. Perhaps due to lackadaisical perusal of referenced virtual periodicals? (it takes a dictionary to know one... but it takes finesse to make it flow..)

As for "bigot" - not me. I got more time in pagan orgies than time in white clothes... Even my sheets aren't white. I have have or have had friends from almost every country where English is a prominent language (and lots from the Middle east as well) and the holy books in my house are hardly all one religion. Did you learn vodoun spiritism in the bayous of your youth, invoke the Caba Pir tua Saanir Coasgo in the deserts of Arabia, travel as the esteemed guest of a Hina to Kauai to celebrate the Blue moon of the sacrifice of the Moon that is the origin of the Luau, get invited to the Cherry Blossom festival as a guest of the japanese imperial navy? I assure you, from the ghettos of Kowloon to the streets of Bahrain, to the tutorial assistance at the spanish speaking citizens foundation in the San Francisco bay area.... Being accused of bigotry is new to me.

As for "wing-nut" - prolly not me. unless you mean probably mildly obsessive and too much coffee and a somewhat queasy stomach for horror movies.

As for "macho" - DEFINITELY NOT ME. wouldn't know who won the last superbowl. Was it the Giants playing?

As for "asshole" - get me when its not tax time.
You are free to put me on "ignore" if you like.
8-)
Uh-oh, I'm running out of emoticons!
TTFN
I am not at all going to put you on ignore, or anyone else. I might even end up liking you, if you bother to introduce yourself. I haven't *met* you is all. You ain't made a dent in my armor and you think you got me pegged, and you just hit me with a pic of this person I don't even know, or a comment as full of cliche as anything on Fox. If I wanted to hear this, I would watch Hannity and Colmes, or one of those other shows that never comes on my TV.

What do you do, what interests you? What did you come here for?

Übermensch sez:
"oot, what does being an adult have to do with... "
ADULT as in XXX rated, free from any kind of censorship.

Your first posts in this forum were inflammatory articles written by a foreign writer in some Russian Mag...
Inflammatory??? I found them witty, profane and thought-provoking commentaries from an internationally
reknowned magazine owned by US citizens operating in Russia and encouraging a full spectrum of
censorship-free adult exchange of opinions.
These articles are refreshing looks at how the rest of the world views the West.
I thought they would generate lots of good discussion.
(I have lots of articles critical of Canadian Conservatives, too -- wanna see 'em?)

Image
Your comment "foreign writer in some Russian mag" makes it sound as if you think that's a BAD thing.
I find that attitude to be very bizarre and insular -- I watch BBC, CBC, MSNBC, Al Jazeera, FOXNEWS,
RTE Irish News, and listen to CBC, PBS, Deutsche Welle, Radio Netherlands, AirAmerica, The Young Turks,
and Mike Malloy on Radio, and enjoy several international magazines and newspapers.
There are a wide range of views and opinions on every subject to be enjoyed.

I mean, what do you expect..?
Certainly not raum...
Image
;)
I thought there would be lots of liberal and progressive ideals being hashed out.
We'll have the ability to generate debate through words, graphics, videos
(much like the comment threads at crooksandliars.com or americablog.com or huffingtonpost.com)
At first I was delighted to hear from members like Sir Jig-A-Lot and 5829.
"Great" I thought, here are some real progressive members who aren't the usual
uptight 'support-the-troops-even-when-they-torture' nationalists!
And then came the knuckledraggers...

Image
:(

...I've edited at least 2 posts today with such pics...
ooops, I didn't think that "cartoons" were considered NSFW.
Usually it is only XXX porn photos that have to be hidden.

Image

We don't know you... obviously
You don't know us... Not personally, and I don't go to online forums to make friends (that's kind of creepy),
but I've seen similar attitudes at freerepublic.com and townhall.com

...and I didn't even get to post my own great stories on September 11th
and the unknown attack that we (outside the USA) call "911-and-a-Half"

Image

Wanna see it? It's great stuff. raum would have a shitfit, and I would giggle like a schoolgirl!
