you don't have to respect the decision. you have to respect her right to an opinion or decision but not the actual decision itself. if i don't agree with it, i don't repect it. i respect her right to make that decision tho.

there is a difference

Pro-Choice...

One of the great things about this country is that we have a choice. Where to live, what to do, how to spend the money we earn. It's all about the freedom to make your own choice.

Besides..if anyone has looked at the numbers of abortions..its unbelievable how many people are having them. It's sad that it appaers to be a means of birth control now-a-days. Oh boy...got pregant again, instead of putting on a condom, lets just go get another abortion. It's a terrible thing, but in a realistic straight to the point view, without it, we would be overpopulated in a decade. Simple as that.

I'm pro-choice for the very reason that so many previously have stated. There are so many conflicting arguments going back and forth pro and con. The bottom line is that this event is happening to the woman, whether by her choice or not. Society should not put a stricture on what she can and will do. Abortion has been around for 1000s of years... legally or not. If we make it illegal, we will once again have women going to back alley abortionists who don't use sterile techniques, who don't give a damn about the woman, who don't care if she contracts an infection and dies 2 weeks later. Abortions are going to happen regardless of what we say or do, so lets keep them legal and make them safer for the woman.

^^good point. I agree with what you said, but I still don't like it. Women shouldn't feel the need to have an abortion. They should know that fucking around has some consequences like getting pregnant. They shouldn't want to kill their baby just so they can "have it better." It's proven that alot of women become depressed, traumatized, and some commit suicide after having an abortion.

Why should it be the woman's decision to kill the baby? The baby isn't responsible for what happened and shouldn't be punished like that.

Put them up for adoption....it's the best for both.

^^ In the same vein, a lot of women become depressed, traumatized, and commit suicide because they are either pregnant or have just given birth. It's a relatively common phenomenon called post-partum depression. My wife went through it with both of my kids and it's a bitch to deal with.

I agree that under ideal circumstances, there shouldn't be a need for abortion, that if there were an unwanted baby, it would be placed up for adoption. But this is far from a perfect world and we have to make do with what we've got. Here in the good ol' US of A, we have the freedom to choose (for now).

As a former Child Protective Investigator (Child Abuse Worker), I can assure you that the pain, misery and suffering of an unwanted child in a stress (and often alcohol and drug) filled home is FAR worse than being removed pre-birth. If I had the hard choice of being aborted and living in some of the situations I've witnessed, I'd have never come into the light of day.

God is my witness!

I agree with you. Stress comes in many different forms when it comes to children. They can sure be a bitch at times!!

But there shouldn't be a need for abortion. People just need to take responsibility for their actions. If you're gonna fuck around, take the baby. You know that one may come and accept that. Don't make the baby suffer for your mistake.

If your going to act up, then strap up. God knows your heart and your thoughts and thus knows your decision and thats what makes God so forgiving because he already knows he's just giving you the opportuntity to come forth. Not one being is unwanted, "Congratulations to the poor, for to you belongs Heaven's Kingdom." Just because we don't want them or have the means to want or take care of them I garuntee God already has a place for them. That aborted child, that child dumped in the trash, the child left on the door step will all find there way and for the ones that fall they will be shown forgiveness... "Faith"

^^That's very true but it doesn't make it right. Just because someone is offered forgiveness doesn't make what they did right...

that's what we're discussing here.

"Let he who is without sin cast the first stone"

I am not without sin and so whether it is right or wrong isn't up to me. What needs to be the discussion is what happens to the ones who were discarded rather than the one who discard them.

No, it's not up to you, but that doesn't make it right. God had said that murder is wrong and killing a baby is murder.

You don't have to determine if something is wrong or right but that doesn't mean you can't say something is. There is a huge difference.
