Re: 2008 NCAA Football Thread
This thread should be 100 pages long man, college football is so much better than pro to me..!
Another great win for my squads, and that was a damn good SEC game between Auburn and LSU...
The SEC should just open up an AFC Southeast conference in the NFL and just start playing pro teams...Damn...SEC, Big 12, and then USC...Not the Pac-10, just USC, lol...
My money says that the Boise State coach gets the next big gig that comes open...Dude is becoming a legend...

Re: 2008 NCAA Football Thread
Boise State got fucking lucky. Oregon's QB was out and they were idiots by going for 2 on their first TD, missing another PAT, and missing a chip shot of a FG. BSU didn't win that game - Oregon fucking gave it to them

Re: 2008 NCAA Football Thread
They shouldn't have been in the game, at least from a paper POV...Just like Michigan Appalachian State last year...If you let a little BS school come in and play with you, you deserve to loose...That Appalachian State team went into LSU this year and they got owned bad...
But I feel your pain TT, I'd be sick as a broke dick dog if my college team got done in by a team from Idaho...ha! :P

Re: 2008 NCAA Football Thread
OK - so everyone knows I am a UT fan (University of Texas) ... but I am also a graduate from a school in the state of UT (Utah... lol).
It is nice to see my boys doing well so far this year....
No. 20 Utah Holds Off Air Force for Fourth Straight Win
Darrell Mack scored three second-half touchdowns including a 9-yard run up the middle with 58 seconds remaining, to help No. 20 Utah rally for a 30-23 win over Air Force on Saturday.
The Utes are 4-0 for the first time since 2004.
Mack and Matt Asiata wore down Air Force, with the tailback tandem churning through the Falcons' defense, especially in the second half. Asiata finished with 19 carries for 116 yards, while Mack had 101 on 18 attempts.
Utah (4-0, 2-0 Mountain West Conference) kept Air Force's vaunted ground game in check, allowing just 53 yards. The Falcons (3-1, 1-1) entered the game with the second-best rushing offense in the nation, averaging 358 yards a game.
They haven't looked this good since Urban Meyer graced them with his presence for a couple of seasons... In 2004 under Meyer the Utes went 12-0 and became the first school from a non-Bowl Championship Series conference to play in a BCS bowl game. The Utes played the Big East Conference champion University of Pittsburgh Panthers in the 2005 Fiesta Bowl, and kicked their asses 35-7. They finished the season ranked #4 in the AP poll. Alex Smith, who was Utah's quarterback for the 2003 and 2004 seasons, was drafted #1 by the San Francisco 49ers in the 2005 NFL Draft. He became the first player in the state of Utah to ever be drafted first.
Go Utes.... and Hook 'em Horns

I can't believe it! I thought USC had the team to beat this year! I guess there is no more dissing the Pac-10

Re: 2008 NCAA Football Thread
Notice USC's body language late in the game? It looked as if they just quit. The coach had to tell the offense to get up off their asses and cheer the defense on!! Jeez.

The Pac-10 is not out of the woods yet...
Helluva win for Oregon though, wow...
I just get the feeling that when its all said and done, USC will have got their loss out of the way early, and by the time the top teams get done knocking each other off, they'll be huffing and puffing full steam by the end of the season JUST like last season, but hopefully get their asses kicked in the National Championship by the Horns... :p
