I agree on that and also posted a lot of posts that resulted irrelevant (trust me i must have a record on that due to my lack of intelligence, again no sarcasm should be infered), but this has nothing to do with my former question.

News like the one this topic was about, before i trolled it, have a common pattern when it comes to reaction.

Forget the media on where it's shared, on a side you got the victims, the agressor and the police for those this news is really irrelevant cause they're are directly involved. Aswell for the family, friends and close ones to them although maybe the news help them when they're distant. From there you got the neighbours and other community figures who might be intrested on the news at least in a gossip way, then the rest of the world (for who really doesnt matter a shit this).

The lack of interest about that is not because they're mean and not comprehensive, it's because (embeded in our human nature) on a world with such an elevated population no one can give himself the luxury to get shocked for a crime five miles away, otherwise we would have to spend the entire life of ours crying over those things.

So why should be that family exposed to our indifference?

Fap, I see what you're getting at...But, I guess this post has more to do with me as a person...It struck me as overly horrible, unimaginable, so I shared it...I don't necessarily stay stuck on the act, I'm a person who is interested in psychology, I have posted many articles in VU than I've read and written about personally, dealing with criminals and sociopaths to try and figure what makes them tick...

I'm one of those people that enters a room and scans its exits, and the contents soon after, trying to identify that person who just might pull the ripcord...I read murder and homicide stories all the time, but when I see some dude beheading his baby sister, my interest is peaked for other reasons than the obvious, or what you seem to think is obvious...
