On the real you need to check out avatar. While it is targeted at your kids there are stuff in it that you would appreciate.
For example there is certain character who has has certain name that reflects her fighting style.
Yeah the show is pretty light hearted but there are moments that hint at how dark the show could have got for a older audience.
