He wasn't a monster, he was fighting like a Native American. I loved that. He was fighting brave and clever. Just because he wasn't lining his men up in rows to mett a row of germans. he is not a monster.
Politically speaking, I never felt Aldo and his Basterds were looking to be heroes. Militarily, they were looking to be the knife in the boot that wins a gunfight when everyone is out of bullets. Besides, they were not guerilla, either. They were expeditious forces.
