come on...let's be fair now,
The acting is bad, the dialogue is oh! so much worse...
It's style making substance its prision bitch. Once you realize you are watching a movie by Robert Rodriguez(yes...Spy Kids), taken from a really entertaining comic book, you end up enjoying the ride SO much more.

don't judge by Spy Kids...thats a kid's movie dude...
he also did El Mariachi, Desperado, and From Dusk till Dawn...
those are probably the movies you should try and rent.
