LoL okay wow I definitely do not expect Argentina to win the world cup. I do not even expect them to be in the Finals. I think it is Brazil and Spain that will be in the finals. We will see who wins it all though.

Good performance by USA, woeful game from England, still amazes that so many talented players put together in the same team can be so mediocre. they've been playing together for years so they dont even have the excuse that they're not gelling together.

Argentina looked good & so did Germany but I think its always difficult to predict too much from games against teams like Australia etc.
Looking forward to seeing Brazil & Spain play, & dont forget the Italians

I'm stick with Spain and will go even further to predict David Villa as the top scorer for the tournament. I do think Argentina is a a great team and could take it. They are certainly a final 4 team and should place.

I agree with you on the Spain part although it is tough to pick a winner within Spain and Brazil. However, I predict Miroslav Klose to be the top scorer for the tournament. This guy just has a knack for scoring in the world cups time and time again.

I do not think Argentina is a final 4 team though. I will be more specific with my predictions here. I think the furthest they will get is the quarterfinals, where they will lose to some team there. Germany, Brazil, or Spain.

Here are my predictions for hopefully that will be the final 4. Brazil, Argentina, Spain and Germany.

Argentina has the best players in the world within its team but they do tend to fizzle out when it comes down to the world cup. Spain and brazil and even Germany are definite final 4 material. But lets not forget the underdogs of the tournament. South africa having a home ground advantage can make it far as well and then there is france italy and portugal as well.

But in essence the world cup is the place for upsets and as it is said by one of the commentators in FIFA 2010 it may be a mismatch on paper but im sure the game is played and won on the green thing out there and thats the football/soccer ground when on the day anything can happen.

Deepak, you are right on the money with those predictions. In fact, my predictions are extremely close with yours. However, do you not think England should be there instead of Argentina? Just wondering...

When it comes to down it England finds some way of fucking up when it comes down to it. England is a good team however I dont see them making it past the quarters at most. They do have an easy pool which will probably see england and USA qualify into the next round but if they face one of the top teams in round two i dont see them making it any further.

They have a bad habit of choking when it comes down to playing a good team

another draw - seems to be the rule this tournament rather than the exception.
