In a movie that would not fly.

The disconnect with the game will be is why is "Starkiller" afraid of Darth Vader since he knows what he has done to him.

Check out the demo on ps3 or 360. The man is crushing tie fighters like they were beer cans.

Stuff like that doesn't translate to a live action movie. Even with in game character model looking like the voice actor.

The only thing you can hope for is that Starkiller makes an appearance in the live action tv series that rumored to come out soon.
In the movie, Luke Skywalker made an X-Wing fighter float in mid-air and he was a noob to the force. Starkiller was trained directly by VADER for his entire life.

Vader's intentions were to use Starkiller to kill the Emperor. The Emperor knew how powerful SK was and hoped he would kill Vader and become his new apprentice.

Anyway, is it a bit much to bring down an entire star destroyer? Perhaps. People couldn't accept that in a movie for sure. It makes for a good conversation with Star Wars fans though.

When you look at the Jedi and Sith fights in the newer movies compared to the original trilogy though, there are vast differences.

The Force users in all video games are too powerful. It makes for an exciting game but would be ridiculous in a movie. Besides there is no way he would be more powerful than Vader and Yoda.
Why not? It's science fiction. It is what Lucas Arts makes it to be.

All I was trying to say that Starkiller should stay in the games. Cause a movie won't go any further than a game can. And it would not make sense.

Also believe that games based on certain movie genres should not also be made into movies but that is topic for discussion.(Uncharted movie greenlit.)

That's because Uwe Boll seems to do them all. ;)

The Resident Evil movies have been pretty good. Not entirely related to the games AFAIK but still entertaining. Not sure that I can say the same for anything from Uwe Boll. He ruined the BloodRayne movie, although seeing Kristanna Loken nude was complete eye candy.

Anyway, most of Star Wars stuff makes very little sense IMO. It's all fantasy and science fiction so whatever they do I just go with it.

A movie, no...But I could definitely see it being worked into a TV series, TV seems ripe for that kinda shit these days...But again, even though extreme force powers aren't really showcased in the movies, the surrounding aspects do seem to show that there are some kick ass force users out there...Mace Windu pulled the nuts and bolts from an entire droid fleet in the Clone Wars cartoon...And, while Grievious was running around shucking Jedi like corn, Mace crushed his chest with a mere clasp of his hand...I get how the force is supposed to work, tapping into it is just like tapping in to the brain...Some are smarter than others naturally, and pick up and absorb more...But even in those cases, there are still some parts of the brain that are a mystery...

I think a TV show not centered around a Jedi, but with a Jedi in the mix would be great...Maybe some swanky ass actor in the mold of Han Solo could pull it off...

Or have the voice actor do it since he does act. (He was on smallville if you remember A.)

Don't forget one of the Sith Lords, Darth Plagueis, was able to bring people back to life with his power over the force.

So can someone (in the Star Wars universe) actually be as powerful as Starkiller? I think so.

The Plagueis story was just that... a story. Sideous used it to plant a seed in Anakin's mind cause he knew about his Padme dreams. Manipulation is a bitch!

Nope, it's true. The Star Wars stories go beyond the movies.

Yeah man, the expanded universe is chock FULL of force powers...The force users we know man, are powerful, we just don't think of it in the terms like they express in the Force Unleashed...Force absorb, like the hottie used in the trailer for The Old Republic, has been seen in the movies...There are force users that can strip people from the force, heal others, control animals, even teleport themselves...All kinds of shit man...I think the game is good in that it allows for a more modern day interpretation of the force and what it is...

Yes, it is very expansive. In the movie you didn't see much of Mace Windu but he was probably the best Jedi with a light saber, next to Yoda. He was so good with a light saber that he used it to shrug off Darth Sidious' (the Emperor and strongest Sith alive) Force lightning attempt as if it was nothing. That was seen in the movie though it never explained why Mace was so good.
