Nothing beats good, sound logic...
I see your point but nobody said a ring is the only requirement for "greatness".

Barry Sanders? He was pure bliss to watch. He was the only reason to watch the Lions and he made Thanksgiving a great day to watch football. I will still never be satisfied for his reasonings on retiring when he did. He could have shattered the career rushing record that now belongs to Emmitt Smith.

Warren Moon? Not one of the greatest IMO. He was a very solid QB but owns no significant NFL records at all.

Larry Foote is a MLB that even the Steelers didn't care if he left. He is a solid linebacker but doesn't do anything significant either.

To me, greatness is defined by record breaking performances and that ring is the cherry in top, the guarantee to be a 1st ballot Hall of Fame.

Randy Moss has done nothing but hold himself back. He has broken several of Jerry Rice's records but will not come close to breaking them all. He's his own worst enemy. Reminds me a lot of Terrell Owens. So much wasted talent.

Now that I don't agree with Drew...If I had my choice, I think I'd rather have T.O...More complete receiver to me...

What is T.O.'s knock as a receiver..? That he quits on plays..? That he can't beat double coverage..? That he won't go over the middle..? That he plays when he wants to play..?

For the statistician:

Games Started
Moss: 180
Owens: 190

Catches
Moss: 949
Owens: 1065

Yards
Moss: 14804
Owens: 15785

TDS
Moss: 153
Owens: 151

Total Yards from Scrimmage
Moss: 14963
Owens: 16036

We can go back and forth about the team cancer schism that seems to follow both, but for my money, I'd rather have T.O. on my team...

Bad hands dude. He's led the league too many times in dropped catches for him to ever be considered in Moss's class. I think if you asked any GM in the League who they take in their prime (I think both have said bye bye to prime now)factoring in all they can do both positive and negative and ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL the drama of both and you will get every one of those GM's to say Moss everyday of the week and twice on Sunday.

That TO has over 100 more catches and not even 1,000 more yards says it all to me. Factor in TO's drops and its a no go.

It's not to say that T.O. wasn't a high quality receiver is his day...but Moss > TO man.

I know but we're talking about great players like Randy Moss, not just anybody else on the roster. ;)

I agree. They are both different types of players. One is physical (TO) and one has great hands and speed (Moss). TO is a better blocker and generally has the attitude that he's the greatest so just get the ball in his hands. Randy is a better deep threat and has the attitude that he doesn't give a shit and why is the media asking him stupid questions.

Between the two I'd take TO, and he's a former Niner that turned his back on his team. I'm a 49ers fan so my dislike for him runs quite deep. As much as he has a great ego and wanted to be the focal point on the offense, I'd rather have a player that I know is going to show up every game and not take a play off because someone shat in his Cheerios earlier that day.
