Yeah, the one thing that always kills Linux is lack of driver support. It probably has the worst wireless adapter support that I have ever seen. You really need to look around for one with great compatibility in Linux.

But for a desktop? I didn't see any issues with any of my hardware. My old Audigy2 ZS worked without a problem. The Atheros gigabit ethernet on my Asus P5Q PRO Turbo worked without a problem. Heck, even my Logitech webcam technically worked, although I had no control over it (zoom, panning, etc) and the Cheese webcam software was quite plain and featureless.

I think results may vary. Jolicloud was made for netbooks/laptops. I've heard generally great things about it.

The one with Unity? No, I've heard that it's buggy but that's about it.
