Better College Player:

You can base this off of the unbelievable one game showcase that each put on, or you can take it through their whole career.

- Bill Walton or Christian Latener -

Dang...this is a tough one.

I might have to go with Christian Latener. Bill Walton was surrrounded by better players than Latener was and was about the same statisticlly and whatever. It's hard for me to support this b/c both of them are deserving

@ LG About Wilt vs Shaq:

Your arguments have MAD flaws kid..!

If Jason Kid is a PERIMETER player, and is almost a full foot shorter than Shaq, but gets more rebounds....Yes that makes him a better rebouder..! If Shaq averages....10 rebouds a game, and Yao averages 9, isn't Shaq the better rebounder..? Right...So...Miss me on that one...For shaq to be a player that spends most of, if not all of his time in the paint, he rebounds horrible...Period...

And you forget Homez, Shaq was not always that big...When he was in Orlando, he was 7% body fat, nowhere near that 400 he holdin' today...I insist, it wouldn't be that easy...

Shaq does not dominate every center in the league, and name another center that could compare to Wilt in the modern day NBA, that you would pick before you would pick Wilt in his prime...

NEWAYZ...

I don't know much about Bill Walton and his college career, but you couldn't have told me that C.L. wasn't the white Jesus..I was sitting there in a house full of people that were ALL cheering for Kentucky when Hill threw the ball down to Laet and he fucking CRUSHED the Wildcats...That shit is forver burned in my memory...

Big shot potential has to go to CL on that one...But, at best, he has been an average NBA player...And of course, Walton is what I guess you could call a legend...

Not modern day, but I think Kareem vs Wilt is a better matchup.

Anyway, I think this matchup is too close to tell just based on whims....i'd really have to look deep into my stat sheet to determine who was better.

Rasheed v. Horry-- I'd take Rasheed the first 47 minutes, and Horry the last minute.

Shaq v. Any other center --Shaq hands down. There's a difference between greater and better. Greatness is what you've accomplished, best is who is better. Wilt and Russell achieved more greatness, but Shaq in his prime (with Lakers) would be too much for either of them.

College -- Maybe Hakeem. Laetner, although one of the greatest, never had to go up against someone as dominant as Olajuwan. If I had to build a college team around one player, it would have been Hakeem.

I still don't see how you kids are doing these evaluations between Shaq and everyone else, especially Wilt...I think we need to revist that one a little bit...I mean, cause I'm not old enough to have seen Wilt play, and I grew up watching Shaq and Chris Jackson at LSU...

Yet, when I watch ESPN classic, and I'm choosing Wilt...I don't get it...

I mean, statistically, it is no comparison...And say all you want about the game being faster and more advanced and all that, but mind the height issue...Height and size are irrelevant in this case, as we can think of numerous instances where the bigger they are, the harder they fall...

LG..!!! Who was Shaq dominating in the finals last year..??

New topic or what..?

How..? RGG in his prime was like...40 pounds lighter than Mike Tyson...How could they do business..?

But, if what they say is true, you can't hit what you can't see...Mike was a beast in his prime no doubt...But RJJ is was so fucking fast Homez....So, so fast...

We need more conditions to that match up..

..why? you just set it up yourself....speed vs power.

well, anyone else willing to take on that matchup? I don't know RJJ that well, but I know Tyson was a BEAST. A majority of his wins coming by first round knockout, so I figured I'd put him up against your god RJJ.
