well, esentially,..

What i was trying to say was those people who think "homosexuality" was more accepted or natural in Greek antiquity do not understand that is not true.

rape of your subordinates was acceptable, and thank goodness it isn't anymore.

To add on to that...

I don't wanna hear anymore "oh were in the end times, Bible says men will be lovers of men and just look at all the gay problems going on.."

Homosexual relations today are 1/10th as common as in Alexander's day. As raum said, it was perfectly normal for men to have homo and heterosexual relations.

I think the important thing to notice here is the majority were not a "homosexual consensual relationship" - it was a form of rape. Maybe some people enjoyed it, but the numbers were by far outweighed by those to whom it was a vulgar display of power and authority over inferiors. not a hand-holding "partnership."

I am not saying we should NOT have gay rights,.. On that note, I am ambivalent, as long it is not my tabs and slots in the mix... I am just saying to defend it with history, or portray it in "antiquity" as is the common convention is absurd and ignorant.
