I actually like Office 2K3, although my use of it is not as extreme to give it a fair critique...I mostly work with PDF files...

I use Office 2.3K so much I feel qualified to answer this objectively and competently:

Word - seen WAY better (crap, in my opinion)

Excel - pretty tight (my favorite MS application)
(will make a doc in excel before word, with greater style)
(will make a presentation in excel, illustrator, or Flash before ppt)
(will make a relational database in excel before access, unless it is too large to fit 60,000 rows or 20 tables)

PPt = Fisher Price my first flash
Front page = fisher price my first dreamweaver
Access = fisher price my first database
(really like FLASH for databases, even more than MySQL. AS2 = )

the ironic thing is EVERYTHING in OFFICE can be done in EXCEL, and usually easier.

Working on a Flash template for a VU extension, actually...
may need some help from Aemeth,..

after I regulate all the energy sales in the Southern United States to Govt. requirements...

I tried open office version 1.2 late last year. There were many issues with installing it in a multi-user environment that kept me from rolling it out and implementing a conversion. Maybe I will revisit if/when I have enough time to explore it adequately.

em,

I don't even deal with the multi-user side, so I can't say about that,..

but for those of us not schizo, its pretty nice specially for FREE.

I think I will see if I can break it this weekend.
