Damn Rim. I am so sorry for your loss. We lost my mom a little more than a year ago in similar situation. It's tough man, real tough. Your love for her will never go away, it will always be there for you to hang on to when things get tough, but the pain does fade gradually. I still get choked up a bit when I visit Mom's gravesite, but it's not near as bad as it was a year ago.

If you need to talk, scream, cry, whatever, drop me a PM or email or whatever. I'm there for you.

Be at peace, my friend. Your mom is at peace now.

I can't promise you that burning goes away, it's that rush of emptiness and how powerless you feel when after all those years, when you thought you had 'em all in check. But it WILL make sense, THAT is one bit of comfort I can give you, you know where to find me if you need to talk.
Dude, of course she's gonna dig it...your mom loves the cock

I have forgotten the date on purpose, but it was a little over a year ago when I found out my auntie and uncle had been brutally murdered and robbed by 3 cats high on meth...

That was my "that stuff never happens to me but it just did...damn!" moment..

Taught me quickly to respect life..not just being alive, but all of life..

I also gotta shout out to VU and the handful of good rappers I know for opening my eyes more every day..

Damn, Rim i won't tell you anything but no matter how prepared you could have been to such an event, it's human to suffer, so be it!
I confide you can tolerate that pain and overcome it with time.

My condolences to you rim. I'm not too good when it comes to dealing with greif but someone once said that time heals all wounds.

My life changing moment was when I found out that my dad was cheating on my mom and left us for dead in Fiji. At that point I realised that if I was to be anything in life I would have to work my ass off and help my brother out who had to leave his studies to support me and my mom. My dad is an ass hole ... he used to beat us up with anything and everything he could find whenever he wanted or felt the need to. He once nearly ran me over with a van and that was the day I had my external exams at school and I did quite well in those exams. Anyway getting back to it, I realised that in life there is no such thing as a free lunch and now im in uni in a country where I have to work twice as hard trying to study and help my brother support us because its never going to be easy for us, so we have to stick together.

Important lesson learnt, expectations are now on my shoulders, I can either let them push me down or use it to rise to the occasion.

I don't see my problems as any bigger then anyone elses for the simple reason I have talked to and seen people who are worse off but I do believe that hard work pays off. I can see some benefits of all the hard work I'm puttin into my life.

That is awesome and amazing Deepak, thank you for sharing that with us...I don't imagine that it is easy at all, but I guess maybe talking about it is a great way to address it...Life will often bite you in the ass, and I've come to the fact that no matter how different peoples lives sound, there is nothing that makes it easier...Whether or not you think somebody having money when they came up, and you didn't, or whether they had both parents while you had one, etc...It is one in the same...

But while it is also hard, it is mostly what you make of it...Either you can let it beat you down, or you can make the most of it...I think you are doing a great job, it is an awesome feeling to stick together and take care of the woman who raised you, isn't it..? And really, you have to think that things were meant to be the way they are (not just with you, with everyone) our experiences happen to forge who we are, and I like myself, and honestly wouldn't want to change much...Maybe knock off a few pounds... /:D" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt=":D" />

You're doing a great job, and on top of that you're a swell writer and a vicious Mack to the ladies...How is that, "V.I.P. at ADN" pick up line working for you...? CDR...

My dad left when I was two months old, so I had two grown men to resent before I was fifteen.

Yeah, LG, let's her gwen-you-wine's moment of truth.
