Nah man......there are songs on that CD that may be 10/10......but if your list is longer than like 15......you're not strict enough..... No one feels respected when they get an A on their paper....when everyone in the class gets an A.

My opinion on rap music?

Honestly, I hate rap and hip hop. I can't stand it.

I think maybe, it's because of the whole "urban" image. I don't like the city, that whole street subculture. It just feels so uncomfortable to me, so artificial, so cold and stuffy and harsh.

Yet, I hate country (and western) music just as much. Bloody annoying! *cringe*

The rap & hip hop of the last few years sounds totally unmusical to me. They can't even write their own music, they just blatantly rip off an entire song and stick some unrelated rappings on top, boasting about the same things- money, jewellery, skanky ho chicks, cars etc.

Although, I don't mind some of the older rap and hip hop music, the "old-skewl" sorta stuff.
It seems more musical, more honest, like the musicians are genuinely putting their hearts and souls into their craft to make music. Some of it sounds dated, but, I dunno, more instruments, more REAL. They really did "keep it real", not all this money-grubbing.

One song I like is Funky Cold Medina by Tone Loc. Yeah I know, a song about a chick that ain't really a chick. The song has samples (Van Halen guitar riff I think), the chicks all around the guy, jewellery, yet it just seems more genuine. And the samples are actual SAMPLES, not a whole song ripped off (like someone did with the riff from Ozzy Osbourne's Crazy Train).

In fact I think it's quite funny! Just looking at that guy swingin' with those chicks around him makes me laugh! I love it! That is another thing- there's humour in the music (and video clips).

I don't really like Eminem's stuff, but his Lose Yourself song is some good stuff. Really powerful and intense theme.
I also like the video clip where he is "Rap Boy"- it has that similar humour to the older days of rap and hiphop.

Vanilla Ice's Ice, Ice Baby was one of the first hiphop songs I heard and saw, I still think that one is cool.

The Ja Rule/Metallica collaboration We Did It Again (produced by Swizz Beatz) has grown on me. I think that's because it sounds more instrumental, there are actual INSTRUMENTS playing a melody, there's an actual song and not just a beat done by a drum machine.

Oh, I also like Outkast's Hey Ya, that's a cool song. Probably because it's more musical.

And Who Let the Dogs Out? by Baha Men- awesome!

After being incarcerated for nearly five years, Pimp C. has reportedly been granted parole and could be released before Christmas.

Born Chad Butler, Pimp C. is currently serving an 8-year sentence for parole violations on an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon charge.

The Port Arthur, Texas bred rapper was sentenced to prison January 28, 2001 and was not scheduled to be eligible for parole until late 2005.

On Saturday (Dec. 3), Bun B. announced the news that Pimp C. had been approved for parole and would be released soon.

"Words coming back that he's been approved for parole and should be home in the next 60 days," Bun B. told WHXT Hot 103.9 radio host Charlamagne Tha God.

"It's definitely a blessing, it's a beautiful thing. I hope that everybody will be able to burn the Free Pimp C. shirts real soon and throwing those caps away. Then we can start rocking the Welcome Back Pimp C."

Pimp-C. and Bun B. formed UGK in the late 80s, releasing several major label albums with Jive, including Too Hard to Swallow, Ridin' Dirty, and Dirty Money.

The rapper has also produced records for Master P, C-Murder, 3-6 Mafia, David Banner's group Crooked Letters and has made cameo appearances on tracks by Jay-Z, David Banner, Young Jeezy and others.

Though incarcerated, Pimp C. released his debut solo album, The Sweet James Jones Stories, in March 2005 through Rap-a-Lot Records.

After being paroled, Pimp C. will remain under the State's supervison until 2009.

Hey Pete....stop being ignorant about music dude.......I HATE people who say "rap music is all about killing and guns and hoes".......no its not....not at all actually....until you know what its about completely.....dont judge it.

You listen to the first song of a CD and if you dont like it you throw it away? I doubt it.

and even if rap is about that....you can make the same case for ALL music.

I hate that metal and shit kinda music...its all about killing yourself......i hate that christain music...its all about god...... i hate the country music...its all about getting drunk and marrying your sister.

how about " I dislike rap music"?

Dont be ignorant if you dont have to be...
