Well, seeing as how everyone else who's posted in this thread has an avatar, it means that all votes cast have been biased. And because the votes are biased, they are obviously invalid. Thereby making my vote the only one that counts, and thereby making A the winner. Yay!

Oh come on....mine is the best by far
"If there were no eternal consciousness in a man, if at the bottom of everything there were only a wild ferment, a power that twisting in dark passions produced everything great or inconsequential; if an unfathomable insatiable emptiness lay hid beneath everything, what would life be but despair?"

You silly rabbits.... Read and Learn and understand why my avatar and A's are the only ones that truly qualify for this competition thus far...
To understand my argument, lets first gain an understanding of the term "Avatar".
In Hinduism, an avatar or avatara (Sanskrit अवतार), is the incarnation (bodily manifestation) of an Immortal Being, or of the Ultimate Supreme Being. It derives from the Sanskrit word avatāra which means "descent" and usually implies a deliberate descent into mortal realms for special purposes. The term is used primarily in Hinduism, for incarnations of Vishnu the Preserver, whom many Hindus worship as God. The Dasavatara are ten particular "great" incarnations of Vishnu.
Unlike Christianity, and Shaivism, Vaishnavism believes that God takes a special (including human) form whenever there is a decline of righteousness (dharma) and rise of evil. Lord Krishna, an avatar of Vishnu, according to Vaishnavism that is espoused by Ramanuja and Madhva, and God in Gaudiya Vaishnavism, said in the Gita: †™ ¢‚¬„¢¢‚¬Å¡‚¢†™‚¢‚¢¢¢‚¬Å¡‚¬¦‚¡¢‚¬Å¡‚¬†™¢¢¬‚¦‚¢¢¢‚¬Å¡‚¬¦¢‚¬Å“For the protection of the good, for destruction of evil, and for the establishment of righteousness, I come into being from age to age.†™ ¢‚¬„¢¢‚¬Å¡‚¢†™‚¢‚¢¢¢‚¬Å¡‚¬¦‚¡¢‚¬Å¡‚¬? (Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 4, verse 8.) In any event, all Hindus believe that there is no difference between worship of Vishnu and His avatars as it all leads to Him.
The word has also been used by extension by non-Hindus to refer to the incarnations of God in other religions, notably Christianity, for example Jesus.
It is this concept of "incarnation of" that has lead to the more modern usage of "Avatar" in Cyberspace. An avatar is intended to be an incarnation of the person that it represents. Note that word...represents. You avatar should represent you. It IS you. I could go on.... but I think you get my point.
I have to ask, how many of you guys with a woman for an avatar, really want us to believe that you are a woman... or in jdogs case, a stripper? Deepdiver may be a patriot, that is true...but is he also trying to tell us that he is hot? ..or just in touch with his inner female?
My avatar, on the other hand, is an incarnation of ME. It is, in fact, my face photoshopped into a painting which has additional meaning about me and my life:
1) I am a viking (my highschool's mascot) and have friends and relatives in Norway.
2) The painting is fantasy art and served as a book cover for a sci-fi fantasy artist (I love Both subjects)
3) The imagery of the wolf (on the helmet and breast plate) serves several purposes. Wolves have been long regarded by Native Americans as teachers or pathfinders. I am a Trainer by trade. Wolves are fiercely loyal to their mates, and have a strong sense of family while maintaining individualism, very much akin to my own sentiments. On a more literal path, my grandmother's maiden name was wolf, making me quite literally 1/4 wolf.
4) The imagery of a warrior - obvious so I won't waste your time eloborating
5) The horns? Ok I admit it, I am one horny bastaard ( /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> ) I am here, after all.... and who doesn't love the Gostosas section?
I could go on, but again, you get my point.
So in summary, if it doesn't represent YOU, it isn't really an avatar in the true sense.... its just a nice picture that we all enjoy looking at. When you get a fuckin' REAL avatar, come on back here to play... until then.... MINE IS THE BEST!
..attached are the before and after pics for my avatar
