Technology and Religion

A school of music that studies the rhythm of nature, a school of fashion that studies the elegance of the Universe, a school of design that studies the architecture of the ancients, a school of philosophy that studies the time-tested Truth.

Science and Faith are different ways of thinking. You can't cross the two. Science will not prove the existence of God, and Faith is not going to assure you that your hypothesis will be true.

I am a scientist, well, I will be, hopefully in 12 months time. So I naturally think of things from a scientific perspective. But I also have faith in things, like people getting better when the circumstances are very grim. It may just be my natural optimism (on the flipside, my parents are quite pessimistic), but I just have faith in things, although I admit at times my mind has been so dark there is not one photon of light present....

I also happen to say "I know" quite often. I can't explain it, but I "just know". Anyone, especially my sister, will question me about something, and I'll just say "because I KNOW, y'know? I just KNOW". I don't have the correct answer, but I just KNOW.

I also know that, saying "I KNOW" has an implied meaning /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> . Raum would be able to explain.

I think technologically, we're working our way towards moving INTO the electricity. And sometime in the future we will be able to project a persons soul from one body into another. I know it sounds weird but think about the progression we've already gone through. We went from sending a letter, to radio, to telephone, to television, to computer, to everyone having cellphones. The eventual extrapolation is a human being, being networked. Then the question is does the soul need the body to exist, or can a soul be contained somewhere else as an electrical charge of some sort. Just an interesting thought I felt like sharing.

Soul does not need a body to exist. It is an entity that cannot be destoryed nor created.
