He's out of sports and gym class for a month, which sucks because he's on a basketball team right now and basketball is usually the first sport of the semester in gym.

And Gwen, you better take it easy on my boy while he in recoup. make him some sandwiches and keep something interesting on the tv, or something.
Don't worry Raum, I'll be taking wonderful care of him ...

Good god, that DUMB ASS guy COMPLETELY disregarded the lack of a green arrow and turned anyway... :x In any case, the only thing with permanent damage is the car, and words could never express how grateful I am for that. /:D" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt=":D" />

Again, I'd like to express my deepest sympathies for LG, and remind him how there we are for him...JUST in case there was a lawsuit, and you know...he should come into a bit of cash... /:D" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt=":D" />

I'm glad to hear that the injuries were relatively minor. Shit like this happens because there are and always will be idiots and assholes behind the wheel of massive chunks of metal. Get better soon LG, I guess we'll be seeing more of you in here while you recuperate? CY, I know you've got TONS of TLC planned for our boy, just be careful you don't bump the knee when you're climbing on... :sexin: LOL

Take care guys!!!

Glad to hear you are okay. I've been in my share of auto accidents (yes, plural) and each one sucks. I've been rearended 3 times in my life. All by women for some reason. So now I'll have a bad neck all my life. I can't even look over my shoulder or it hurts. In my worst accident, when I was 18, I totaled my mothers car. I ended up with a fractured sternum from the seatbelt and a badly bruised knee (not broken but all black and blue) from when it hit under the steering coloumn.

BTW, you drove your mother's car? I don't think you can insult me anymore after this.

.... are you kidding? you come in this thread to make fun of me for driving my mom's car when in the sentence before you it said you totalled your mom's car when you were 18...and im 17?

ayhja how do you ban people from threads you create again? seriously wtf is wrong with this guy?

Anyway...I got a question.... basically what happened was.. im going straight....coming up on an intersection...the light turns yellow and a lady turns left ...crossing over my lane....we're facing each other and stuff yano?....but i didnt even think about braking because she had enough room.....so then im just gonna go on through...and this guy comes flying on the left turn as well...and i first honk like "THE FUCK!!" then i realize too late that we're gonan hit..and i slam on my brakes and boom we hit..

so the police never ask either one of us what happened....but this black lady comes up from no where...she was the one who turned first....and says that the light was red..and i ran through a red light..and smashed into this guy.....

so now I have two tickets....a red light violation...and a "failure to slow down" violation......I swear on my life the light wasnt red...and i think its bullshit how they take some witness who....if she made the turn....how in god's name can she see the light in the first place.....so they're taking her assumtion over either my or the other guy's testimony

so i have a court date for march 2nd....and my dad completely insists that i just shut up...plead gulity...pay the (probably 75 per) so 150 bucks..and just get it over with.....I'm not so sure that I want to pay for something that I didnt do......but is it really worth all the headache of going to another court date...possibily hiring a lawyer? or is this my first example of the system aint fair...and fighting it will only be worse in the long run??

I don't have as big a problem if the other guy got the tickets as well....casue accordin to this stupid bitch...i went through a red light....he went through a red light...and she went through a red light.....so did she get a ticket too?

I'm thinking she just targeted me becasue I'm a young white person....I'm such a hotheaded "why the fuck do I pay when I didnt do it!?" type of person....I insist on taking it to court based on the principle....but my dad just wants me to pay the money and just get it over with...

what should i do?

LG,

Listen to your dad. Pay yo ticket and shut up.

Then, IF you feel like it, contest the ticket, and you might get some of it back. You do not have to go to court, and you don't want to if you don't have to. In court, it gets turns to a judicial affair, and can be criminaly punished with traffic school, suspended liscense, revoked liscense, and just on the bass it will be an all-day affair where you will be subject to judgement based soley on your age. That will end up with your liscense suspended, at last. You better believe if you go to court, and there was a yellow light involved, you can not win - and they will take those court fees out of your dignity, if no your ass.

Personally, I have been a passenger in far too many accidents to note. I have been the driver in three one in a Target parking lot and one on the lagest freeway in california, and one in the snow.

1. I was hitting vallejo caifornia, on a friday night road trip, a double stacker diesel was merging onto from an on-ramp while I was trying to catch my exit, and he wouldn't yield. Everyone in my lane had to go left or he would have killed me and my girl, and hurt alot of people. The guy behind me in my lane jumped left at the same time as me... and he scrunched my girl's car fender, and banged up the door lil bit. His car was totalled. No one was hurt. The cop said it looked like a giant beast rammed his car, and couldn't believe my girl's car was still drivable. His front right tire was bent under his car, like something had shoulder-bloced him. Everyone was glad that our car wasn't bady hurt, or it would have been a major pile-up. The party at fault was the diesel driver, who was in for a shock when we both identified his truck, and I gave them his plates... They caught him before we left the scene, cause the cop let us get back on the road. He was being piled into a cop car when we passed him about thirty miles down the road.

2. A few days later,we got hit by a woman in a parking lot. She walked past my girl's car where I was behind her lil truck waiting for a parking spot across from hers. She got in her Rav4, and backed straight into me. She acknowledged the whole thing made no goddam sense. She just wasn't thinking. Somehow, she did more damage than the freeway accident.

3. a few weeks ago, i left to early and it was snowing. my first time to drive to work in snow, and i beat the snowplow to the streets,.. and ran off the road i waited for two hours in the ditch. heh,.. my bad. So i wnt bought comcast internetcable, and can telecommute on snow days.

LG I think you should pay the ticket and then contest it if you really want to or if the insurance is not willing to pay the damages.

I'm glad you are reasonably ok m8. Same goes for you Raum.

You trip me out w/that shit...CDR...Pay the ticket, ask for mercy on the court, and the shit just might disappear off of your driving record...

Well...what I'm gonna do it base it on what the other guy says.....we both have the same insurance..State Farm...so we'll be able to hear his claim....if he says it was a yellow light as well...which he should.....then there should be no case at all.....a witness who wasnt driving away from the scene of the crime and didnt see it......or both of the pople involved...whos word you gonna take?

I got pictures of both cars....theirs was a land rover...and mine was a ford focus wagon......bascially...brick wall vs. plastic....our car is totaled...his is just kinda scraped... today theres soreness in my chest ands houlders from the seatbelt and the airbag..and my neck.. but my knee is relativiely perfect...i can walk with speed with almsot no pain...up and down stairs is still rough though...other than that I'm fine...

I'd like to thank everyone for showing me the love and support that I expected from you guys...actually I was suprised by a few...like teh.....that man IM'd me..even though we've never talked before... like 30 seconds after I posted this thread.....you guys know I got your back just like you've shown you got mine...and it just further demonstrates how close this family has grown together....

Heh, I used to talk with you once in a while, but yeah, I haven't talked with you in a while before this little event. Glad you're alright. Just some minor shit is no big deal. As for the ticket, you might wanna just pay it, but I think it'd be funny if you proved the bitch wrong about the light color and got cleared of the tickets.
