Yeah I've noticed that Google isn't quite as good as it used to be. It brings in some really weird results sometimes. I've been using dogpile quite a bit lately. It shows results from most of the other main search engines.

Google is getting hit by the money factor. They said they would not change their policies when they went public, but now it is painfuly obvious that they have (starting with censoring their Chinese site, which was "something yahoo did, not google"). Such an open move makes me wonder how many hidden rules they might have nowadays.
However, I dislike using MSN. Not because it is bad, rather just a matter of principle. Two secondary reasons why I don't use MSN is that its page is crammed with info I dont't want and which makes it slow to load. I find that quite annoying.

I don't know why but i can't seem to use any other search engine but google. Maybe its just because google looks so much neater, less ads everywhere, easier on the eyes. Im ocd about neatness haha.

anyone here still use dogpile.com??? .. ya know where it searches all kinds of search engines at once .. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> .. but I still use google for most of my searching needs and most of the time it's quick and relevant to what I'm searching for.

That's a metasearch engine - similar to ixQuick..
There's only 4-5 actual engines themselves; Google, Yahoo, Inkatomi, and MSN
