WOw I thought it was just you and me thet disliked him so much. I ripped into Bendis a few weeks ago on Twitter cause of his typical self serving smug asshole comments. He didn't reply back after I called him a talentless hack or something. Just look what they've done to Spidey th last few years. They completely wipe out his marriage. They've killed off the REAL Hobgoblin and replaced him with a Joker wannabe and now they've taken Venom and made him bond to Flash Thompson and turned him into a secret agent.....and yeah I know Bendis doesn't do Spidey but I tink most of these ideas are his behind the scenes cause they suck.

And I know you like Fraction but Thor has been terrible since he took it over. I do kinda like the Astonishing Thor issues though. And the Johnny Storm death in Fantastic Four? I mean Really Fat Joey? Do you think ANYBODY takes that seriously anymore after the recent Cap debacle? It looks like the Wasp is coming back in next months Avengers Academy too. I'll tell ya right now I am so down on the industry especially Marvel that I really am thinking of just reading the indie stuff you and HH keep recommending.

Duuuuuuuuuude You Da Man! Bendis in this week's WB ep said "Judge me by my work". Well, He has been judged...as an uberhack.

It's all one big EPIC FAIL.

Correctamundo. Slott admitted he has to run things via schmendrik in regards to Amazing Spider-Man.
And I know you like Fraction but Thor has been terrible since he took it over. I do kinda like the Astonishing Thor issues though.
I'm feeling the same way. Only Astonishing Thor is wowing me at the moment. I did enjoy that Warriors Three book that recently wrapped up though. Fraction seems to only be consistent in Iron Man.
And the Johnny Storm death in Fantastic Four? I mean Really Fat Joey? Do you think ANYBODY takes that seriously anymore after the recent Cap debacle?
Especially as there was no body. I bet this whole Spidey as Johnny's replacement (Which I don't mind cos Hickman writes a good Spidey) lasts only until FF #600 (so about a year)... & then Johnny comes back from the Negative Zone more powerful than ever.
It looks like the Wasp is coming back in next months Avengers Academy too.
For real?
I'll tell ya right now I am so down on the industry especially Marvel that I really am thinking of just reading the indie stuff you and HH keep recommending.
That indie stuff (& a handful on ongoing Marvel books like T-Bolts,X-23,Iron Man,FF & SHIELD & both Hulk books) are what's keeping me interested.

Yep they've been settin it up for a few issues and it looks like next month they're seriously going to bring Wasp back or the beginning of the arc to bring her back with some device Pym made up to reconnect her atoms or something. That's a good call on J Storm. I'll bet you're right. They'll bring him back as the warlord of the Negative Zone or something epic like that. :p T-Bolts and Hulk have probably been the most interesting books you're right. Althought that last Hulk issue with Red And Green and the Impossible Man SUUUUUUUUUUUCked. But everyone is entitled to a bad issue or two. Bendis has the Avengers on about 10 years of bad issues so I can cut them some slack....

I think that issue of Hulk was a fill-in one between arcs. Btw,I heard that thing about Loki & Skrulls on the IGN movies podcast. God I hope it's not true. Wouldn't it be funny if the tables turned & all the other studios who Marvel whored their characters out to years ago started making good movies & Marvel shot themselves in the foot with Avengers & Thor?

I know...except for the time displacement of most of the characters in the X-Men movie I like what I'm seeing. And besides Spiderman's new (don't ask, don't tell) costume I'm hearing good things there too. It could happen.

Ditto. That's what is stopping me from getting pumped over it.

I just realised that Steve's buddy in the trailer who fights him in the alley & dissuades him from signing up is Bucky Barnes. WTF ?!? Dude comes off more like Flash Thompson. They didn't know each other before he was Cap. I also really really hope this movie does not focus on the love interest storyline. The goddamn origin certainly had no gf. It was all about him.
