LOL, you sound like me...
Looking OK now though, AP has the Lions this week, lol...After getting shined on by Reggie Bush on MNF, I'd be VERY afraid to be the Lions this week...He may gash them for 300...

I went over my roster with a fine toothed comb, and prior to the start of the season, my lineup looked super solid...For one, I had a stud (All Day) at running back...I had the highest rated passer not named Tom Brady from last season...I mean great steals all the way around man...Wes Welker...Plaxico...I mean my squad got decimated..! First we loose Brady, and then Plaxico just decides to have a domestic spat right in the middle of the fucking season..!
But not to seem so unlucky, I did pick up Ronnie Brown...And forgot to fucking put him in the lineup in front of Ryan Grant (who fucked me over yet again) for the week...
I should have a bit of better season now though, hopefully things will start to level out...
Well, I had no idea Big Ben would have such a tremendous day; I thought you made the right decision in starting Jason Campbell. Another bad prediction, at least it didn't cost you the match.
Also, I lost in a bitter matchup to Ero; had I just had faith in Portis against the Eagle D, I would've been tied in last week's matchup, swapping out Calvin Johnson's spot. I also thought the Broncos D was generous to the run, but I was mistaken in that sentiment too.
The most embarrassing thing is not that I lost to NInja Monkeys, I can respect that, but the fact that I lost to my own bench. How sad is that? It was roster 75 points, bench 84 points... I made some bad and costly roster moves.

Unfortunately that's a part of fantasy sports. You just have to try your best based on the player and the team they are playing, but it's not a guaranteed system. You should have plenty of time to turn around a bad week, though

Although it doesn't pertain to Fantasy sports as much, I think that that the New Orleans defense has really contained top running-backs so far; since the beginning of the season, they haven't allowed a 100-yard rushing effort thus far, and that includes the likes of Frank Gore, Clinton Portis, and Adrian Peterson. The only back to clear 100 was that of Tampa Bay, but that was a tandem effort produced by Graham/Dunn combined. They also have an above average special teams.
I also heard that the Titans defense was the best in fantasy, while the Ravens was the best in football. It was evident in the matchup between the two, though I think the Titans pulled a mild upset in that one, if only because Flacco was hesitant and unnerved in the game.
And while the Redskins defense should never be owned, they have done a remarkable job in containing arguably 5 of the top 10 quarterbacks in the league, as well the explosive teams they are leading. Who would've thought in just one season, where a quarterback had the most fumbles in the league, and a defense that allowed the most second-half comebacks of any other team, that the Redskins would be in the top 3 of the power rankings a third of the way through this year? I'm not quite sure how many times they have done so, but I believe they won 2-3 of their last 4 games by taking a knee and running out the clock.
Great job, Ds.

Don't forget injuries. You can only hope you avoid any big ones. Or hope your guy scores you points before they get hurt. Of course you could be like me and have some sort of WR curse since it seems like every week one if not both of my WR's get hurt. Burelson, Colston, Bryant Johnson, Boldin and now Eddie Royal is iffy. 5 weeks, 5 guys from the same position!!! So if I start a guy from your fav team this week, sorry if anything happens...
Makes me think I should pick up guys who play the Bears just to help them win. ;)

I wonder what we should do about the two teams that are running on batteries?
It looks as though 'Melo Maniac' and 'All-Pro Bowlers' are automaton teams without any managers, since they have neither acquired, dropped, or activated any other players. It actually wasn't that evident to me at first, until the bye weeks came, and I learned what the 'Trancounter' was.
Is it possible to find and replace the owners with those that might be a tad more involved in the league? Since we are in such a shallow league, I think the more participation, the better, and more competitive it will be throughout the entire season.

Unfortunately there is nothing we can do this year about those teams. This is a keeper league though, so I can delete those owners and add new ones for next year.
Actually, I might be able to add a 2nd owner to each of those teams. Do you know someone who would be willing to take over a team in the middle of a season?

I'll look for some and ask around the nieghborhood or on the net; shouldn't be too hard finding replacements, since those teams are very good, but I might be wrong about All-Pro Bowlers... it seems he modified his roster once in the past two months, benching Braylon Edwards for Santana Moss; hmm, this transaction was accomplished on Sunday Oct. 5
Maybe all he needs a friendly reminder?

I can send an email to each of those owners and let them know that if they do not start participating that they will be booted

IO, you are awesome, those are some great suggestions and observations...
I am getting better about this...I'm usually tinkering w/my roster first thing on Tuesday now...Loosing sucks ass..! I'm not sure who I'm playing this week yet, but I hope to stay on my current streak...Starting the season on the bottom did horrible things to my already fragile ego...
I'm still working out how points are scored and things like that, but it won't be long before I'm sticking a finger in the wind and trying to siphon information from the football gods about what to do this week...The Giants have the Browns this week...Hopefully Plaxico will get on the Eli Express that's been running here of late and help my fantasy team to another win...
